The huge pileup in this video was the result of about 30 gallons of biodiesel fuel being spilled onto the track during a recent race at the Nürburging. It happened when a BMW 120d racer crashed, cracking his fuel tank open. The track was already wet, so the resulting oil slick, inconveniently located on a turn, was enough to cause the ensuing chaos.
