Surfaces that automatically dim aren't something necessarily new for automobiles, as numerous cars already offer auto-dimming rear-view mirrors. Though we're not sure we'd want dimming for the entire window surface like the original idea proffered by Kwanzabot, we think for certain areas an automatically dimming window a la Transitions lenses would be a nice touch. Just make sure to include an override switch.
