It's got a sleek aero-kit, bronze-colored wheels, and a scoop on the hood. But, is this an STi version of the forthcoming Subaru Exiga? Have our cries been heard? Does mommy have a new rally-rocket?
Unfortunately, this almost certainly is not an Exiga STi. Even if there is a rally-tuned STi version in the pipeline, it may not even make its way across the Pacific. Actually, we're not entirely sure any of the normal Exiga models will make it over to America any time soon either. It would be somewhat of a shame if it didn't, especially if we had to keep the eyesore Tribeca around. Of course, you know how some crossovers make us feel, so we'll probably have to actually drive one before we're completely sold. Maybe by then, Subaru will actually have a real STi version, not just some sporty appearance package like this thing probably is. Because what family of hoons wouldn't want a 7-seater minivan-alternative with go-faster goodies?

Might be an XT (at least, that's what they call it in the Forester). Turbo, but somewhat luxurious. Since everything else in the Subaru lineup has at least one engine/trim variant equipped with a turbo, I'd expect to the Exiga to have one as well. It's not going to be an STi/spec.B unless they start extending high-po variants across the range. They seem to flirt with that idea periodically, but they've not gone there yet - and a "Tribeca spec.B" is such a spectacularly bad idea that I doubt they will.
Some how I don't see this coming to the US, well just have to be pacified with the Tribeca ... a-holes

Spec B simply denotes the use of bilstein shocks. whats so spectacularly bad about putting bilsteins on a tribeca?

Hmm, tough call, 7 seater turbo goodness, or Tribeca 7 seater lumbering land animal slothness...
it does look like a Saabaru; the nose reminds me too much of older civics though.
.. also - it looks to be photoshopped anyway. The bumper is desaturated, while the rest of the car is blue-ish.
