F1 Teams Plan To Avoid Mosley In Monaco

Max_mosley_Monaco_2008.jpgDrivers, team bosses and senior executives from major sponsors are making elaborate plans to avoid meeting or being photographed with Max Mosley during the Monaco Grand Prix. The May 25th race will be the first Mosley will attend since the Max Mosley Sex Video leaked. According to The Times, some teams are even going as far as employing scouts to keep them informed of Mosley's location and movements.

The Times goes on to report that "the clear majority of team managers" think that Mosley's refusal to resign is hurting the sport. According to the paper, the Monaco Royal Family have expressed similar concerns. Mosley was ordered by the Royal family of Bahrain not to attend their F1 round, didn't attend the Spanish Grand Prix for fear of embarrassing King Juan Carlos and the Turkish Prime Minister's office approached Bernie Ecclestone to ensure their boss wouldn't encounter the besieged FIA President.

FIA's general assembly will meet on June 3rd for a vote of no confidence in their President. [via The Times]

So his refusal to resign in the face of all these snubs and avoidances and concerns just proves he is an arrogant a-hole and doesn't think what he did was so bad; the F1s need to tell him F.U. and make him F.O.

  • The Monaco Royal Family, the Royal family of Bahrain, Spanish King Juan Carlos, the Turkish Prime Minister. . . please, not to defend Mosley, but I'm sure that all of the above inbred royalty have sex tapes floating around that would shock, disgust, or at least involve Slut Machine.

F1 will avoid Mosley...But the band Judas Priest will be actively looking for him....they want their outfits back.

I know you're working with what you've got, but I've seen Rubic's Cubes with better picture resolution than that lead shot.

I love Max Mosley. Really. People talk about the grotesque extremes we go to in America, but we've got nothing on this guy. Spitzer prays he'll get to shine this guy's shoes one day.

Mosley has shown equal severity in both his hateful affair and his "I didn't do anything really wrong" attitude in the aftermath.

His ability to bolster the leaden weight of that paradox and face the world each day has forced me to almost admire him, while at the same time I feel like I want to scold him like a 12-year-old.

When Clinton finally admitted to getting caught, at least he fed us some BS so we could believe he was a regular guy who believed that right and wrong existed. With Mosley, it's just, "F the BS, I'm Max Mosley and hell, I could travel through time and kill my infant grandfather if I wanted to."

  • @Mad_Science: Oh come on, those graphics are practically 16-bit? Maybe 13- or 14-bit, to be precise.

Back on-topic, I would love to know what sort of kitschy code speak the teams would use. I can hear it now: "Flying Seamonkey to Captain Cucumber: The arse is in the loo! Repeat, the arse is in the loo!"

  • @Bumblebee: Simply awesome comment.

  • @Bumblebee: Yeah, nice work.

  • @Novaload: Yeah but it's prudish arrogant assholes acting like they have no dirty laundry of their own snubbing an arrogant asshole.

Personally, I don't think what he did was *THAT* bad either.

It's not like he killed, maimed, molested or stole from anybody.

  • @petersterncan: So true. But people with power tend to be the biggest hypocrites.

  • @petersterncan: No, not bad if he was a regular joe, but the head of a billion dollar franchise? Makes me wonder what else he doesn't think he did wrong!

  • Stupid rules and unequal cars are ruining Formula 1, not some stupid sex tape scandal.

  • People are avoiding him because they dont want to contract " Das Herpes". And i heard his cologne is overpowering. I believe its called "eau de zyklon".

If i was at the party, i would follow this guy around all night. In a room full of blue-bloods, he knows where the party is at!

  • Why avoid him? Drive over the sumbitch.

I wonder if they're talking shit behind his back on Facebook as well?

  • Image of NovaloadMissesPolar NovaloadMissesPolar at 07:44 PM on 05/13/08 *

@danio3834: Not Facebook but more like "Flayed Ass Space."
There are no doubt secret web sites none of us would ever know about. Or want to.

  • I would avoid Max because the so called dungeon and roleplay he was in was so lame that I might be caught by my fellow sado-masochists and never allowed in Hellfire ever again.

  • Come on, hurting F1? I told my friends about this, and we've watched more F1 this year than any year before.

  • @TheGuinnessTooth: Damn you TGT, double posting. Skeletor will get you one of these days.

  • Whip it good!

Kwame Mosely is a naughty persons LOL.

  • What Moseley has done is deplorable.
Putting aside how the impact his of actions affects F-1 and his ability to govern it; what he did was immoral! His responses, pure arrogance!
He has a family and is obligated as such, to consider how his behavior affects them.
Obviously, this controversy creates fodder for bloggers. I can't wait for June 3rd when Nazi Boy gets his just desserts.

    Zank you.

  • @Bumblebee

Emphatic denial in the face of shocking truth's is not an admirable trait.
    A real man would have stood up and said;
"I crossed the line and regret the shame and humiliation I have caused my wife, children, extended family, FI community and country" Full stop.

Clinton telling the world a BJ is not sexual relations, and that same world half wanting to believe him, is proof positive that the empire is rotten to the core.

Take a stand cousins, this is not OK. and Max has to be sent this message.

  • Image of charles_barrett charles_barrett at 11:47 PM on 05/13/08 *

@smart42: Oh, this debate could run so deep... granted, I'm a perve, but who is to say what sort of open relationship the Clintons may have privately agreed upon between themselves...? As my parents would say, relationships come in all shapes and sizes...

What if playing the field was mutually agreable within preset gidelines,,,? It is for me and my partner of nearly nineteen years. Never do it in secret, and never do it in anger. Be truthful and upfront, and no harm, no foul. Mosley's Nazi fetish is distasteful, but that is not illegal in a Constitutional Democracy, which does not criminalize poor taste.

Give the poor asshole a break... being completely PC is obnoxious in and of itself...

  • This avoidance thing has been done before - but usually it stops at grade 3 when people grow up. I know what he did may be somewhat disturbing, but acting like a 9 year old is not solving the problem. Back in the day, real men got over petty issues by challenging each other to a dual! Mosley vs. Williams, at high noon, back straight in Monaco, draw guns at three, last man standing wins.

  • @Citroen_SM: In that case Mosley would win by default, seeing as Sir Frank was paralyzed in a 1986(?) car accident.
    But A for effort.

  • @Tomsk:

    A for effort yourself.

frank williams is a strong, willful man who still has the use of his arms afaik. my money's on him.

  • @joneez: Whether they're in charge of a billion dollar or one dollar enterprise, I don't see how that would change someone's desire to get laid.

The only difference is that the person with the billion dollar enterprise has the money to get laid the way they want to.

The "he did this, so what else did he do" line of logic is totally bogas. NOBOBY is 100% clean in every way... especially if it's someone who has worked their way to a top position.

I'll take a hooker-visiting leader any day over a cash-embezzling leader... unless he was visiting the hookers when he should have been working... but that would only make him "almost as bad" as a cash-embezzling leader.

  • Kimi's going to have to watch what yacht he jumps on after his Ferrari shuts down...

Maxie should just hang out with Prince Albert...if the rumors are true, they like similar stuff anyways...

Seriously, tho, Max dug his hole before this by running with a fascist iron fist. Folks just needed a good reason to push him it.

Consider the following, just in F1:
    - Mosley strong armed BMW/Mario Thiessen into the V8 rule by threatening to "arrange" for the new-at-the-time 5-series to not get an acceptable NCAP rating (4* or higher)
    - His role in the '07 McLaren cheating scandal and Renault & Ferrari cheating non-scandal.
    - His driving the new rules contravention of the vast majority of teams including driving away customer cars. Super Aguri is arguably a casualty of that rule.
    - His perceived bias toward Ferrari and Jean Todt (right or wrong).

He is not a very well-liked man outside of his tight circle of supporters, and those outside see this as a way to get rid of him.

  • @petersterncan: My issue is not about the hookers, I'm all for that, I've visited a few myself. My problem is what he did with them. And the fact that he lacks the morals to see that, leads me to wonder what else he has no problem doing. Nothing bogus about that.
