With all the hullabaloo over Truck Nutz it's a wonder the folks at Car Nutz Customs haven't taken a cue and changed their name a bit. True, they don't specialize at installing chrome dangly bits on '71 Impalas, but with Florida legislators rebelling against all things Nutz, you'd think they might just consider it. That being said, Car Nutz Customs (CNC in brief) actually does some nice work if you're into the whole big rims and crazy stereo with a clean install kind of thing. Unfortunately they aren't into big pictures of their cars. Enjoy the tiiiiiiny gallery of their work.

The skinny tire/huge wheel combo fad won't end until all you see of the car is a giant wheel wrapped in a fruit rollup.
"Would Car Nutz Customs Be Illegal In Florida?" Maybe not, but what they did to that poor Cadillac should be.
Wow, I thought "tiny gallery" referred to the number of pics, not their size...
Y'know, I would totally drive that Impala, and not just because of it's colour scheme. It looks like it wants to go cruisin' that's what I think of for waste-the-day-away driving. It's not gonna be athletic, it's just going to look good.
I've mentioned this before, but I've never actually seen truck nutz on a TRUCK. All the nutz I see are hanging from the backs of Donks.
I hate to kill your headline, but the truck nutz bill did not pass in Florida, and they are still legal.

the bimmer and nsx are nice. the prowler with 22s is straight retarded.

If I were Charlie Crist they would be.
Are big rims all they do? Unless they built that open wheeler. Then I withdraw my question. The rest of them look rather mild (if not stock) other than the big wheels.
On that note, the wheels are what I dislike most about all of them (except the Escalade, but I just hate Escalades)
some of these types of customs should be illegal EVERYWHERE!
@goatrope: Shush you, way to ruin the fun.
@smalleyxb122: Sheesh, apparently most "custom" car shops deal with a paintjob and some hilariously oversized wheels. It'd be nice if they actually built something custom for once.
I'd say something custom that's SEMA-worthy, but half of SEMA is the same tired massive-wheel shtick anyway.
Y'all had me confused there for a moment. I thought that company was IN Florida. It does seem that "custom" should mean more than just wheels and paint. Not a whole lot of innovation there. Even though I like the look of big wheels (within reason) and tires, it only works for me on the right type of car. The Prowler and the BMW look good, but the Olds does nothin' for me!
BTW, if you follow their link to Myspace, they show the pics in larger form.
Y'know, personally, I think that someone needs to take this 'giant wheel' trend in the opposite direction. Can you imagine these skittering around on little 6" doughnuts?
I am in favor of building more speed bumps for the sole purpose of destroying these abominations.
What did that NSX ever do to deserve that? Please, think of the performance cars!
In all honesty, why would I want a stereo system that A. costs more than the car and B. the stereo can literally destroy your hearing? On top of that, the rims do nothing for the handling of the vehicle nor is it cheap to replace the low profile tires/rims. The only noise I want to hear is the beautiful symphony of the engine awaiting my commands.
@Mike the Dog: The De Ville, not the rebadged Tahoe...
@Mike the Dog:
+1
That's so wrong...almost brings a tear to my eye.
I have to figure this ludicrous wheel/tire fad is backlash from the lowrider pickup skinny & tall tire fad of the mid-to-late '80's.
I used to live near where they're based so I can answer a few questions.
@dolo54: That ain't no Prowler. It's some sort of Street Rod, can't remember what though.
@smalleyxb122: Their website sucks. They do a LOT more than just big wheels and nice interiors. Like I said when I mentioned them in another post, their stuff is sort of hit or miss, these are mostly the misses. They've had a fully built Chevelle pushing 800 HP, yeah it was wearing 19" rims, but that was because anything smaller wouldn't have fit over the Brembos. They don't just do flash very often, they usually add the power, handling, and stopping to go with it, you just can't see that.
@Mike the Dog: I saw that "De Ville" at the first show it was at a few years ago... it's not normal. The front end is from a different year than the rear (can't remember what years) but both the donors were in wrecking yards, so it saved some classic Detroit iron from the crusher. With different wheels on it, it would make a great cruiser.
Call me nutz, but I kinda like the Prowler-looking thingee. Needs a lot more sidewall, though.
@something_unique_and_descriptive: I think the front clip is a '62 and the rest of it's a '60 but I could be wrong...
The street rod looks like a '32 or so Ford, which is what the Prowler was a bad copy of in the first place.
Thou shalt not suffer a donk to live.
Verily, these are abominations.
Please, help the donks so that they can roll. Less height, more rubber.
Ugh.
Oh hey, look where all that cash-out refi money got pissed away.
