Yes, we've seen the Smart ForTwo with the GSXR1000 motor dubbed the Smartuki before, but this is the first time we've seen it doing its thing in truly heroic style. With the engine mounted where the passenger used to be, the low center of gravity and rear wheel drive combine with the 160 HP Suzuki mill to provide impressive tire melting performance. From the looks of things, this baby is only good for unadulterated hoon pleasure, just like a grown up version of a big wheel. Weeee! [Youtube] (Hat tip to kingroyale)

That looks like a ton of fun. I wonder how it does in the quarter mile.
Aww where's the hat-tip? :(
Now all someone needs to do is chop one about 2 to 3 inches and gain some more aerodynamics and MPH.
@acarr260: 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds and tops out at 132mph.
I just want a clip of the full speed flyby to play over and over on my screensaver!

According to these guys anyways, brother... [thekneeslider.com]
What's the fuel economy? About the same, I'd expect.
-1 for choice of music.
Almost makes me want a Smart. Almost.
I'd still love to try that thing out, though.
What an annoying video.
@JUST POLAЯ: Thanks. I answered myself after I jumped over to their website... which I may warn people here has some neat stuff... so you may want to avoid it if you're trying to get work done. :)
Blurriest. Video. Ever. What was that, some kind of giant cockroach?
Ive had that video on my myspace page for ever. I want one.
Ford should use a Susuki motor for the 2010 SHO.
@DWMILLER: No, remember, the SHO Taurus had a Yamaha.
@DWMILLER:
Yeah, that wouldn't be a slap to the face of Yamaha at all
@joneez:
Damn, beat me to it.
Great for smoking tires and straight line hoonage. However, I imagine that the short wheel base doesn't make it good for too much else.
ouch, that music is so 17-year-old-with-suicide-thoughts-like.
@Ben Wojdyla:
Sweeeeet! Now I'm famous for scouring the itnrawebs while working under the oppression of...The Man.
I 'd like to see another video not filmed though pantyhose, but this dispels any notion I had that the Smart looked like an Echo in regards to topping over during a hard turn. I hope the dad gets the hoonkid form the bigwheel video one of these.
Lucas Electrics tires?
Its just good to see that no matter where the car industry goes with gas prices now capable of interstellar travel and the gas sving hybrid SUV oxymoron, there will still be hoons dedicated to doing something completely insane with something so tame.
Filmed in Zapruder-Vision!
I sent you guys that video ages ago. Here is a better quality, longer version (sorry same crap music), but the engine sounds wickid.
+ Watch video
Here's another one with better video and no crap music:

@Novaload: Ha!
Yeah, "Zapruder Vision" (TM) is a new effect on all your higher-end cameras ... and mobile phones.
SO....It's a Picasso-ed version of an FSAE car with a body shell. Man, wouldn't that thing be a sleeper on Woodward?
@dolo54: Any car that can be tipped to it's side by two average looking guys, then go back out and do several wicked donuts is a car for me
@phowe: yeah, talk about easy to work on.
Coming to a strip near you.. What's the new term for a Hyabusa/Donk/Smart?
I just showed this clip to a colleague that just bought a Smart and she gave me the "Et tu, Brute?" look and asked, "Why does everyone want me to do an injustice to my little baby?"
She's owned it for 5 weeks now and STILL has trouble parallel-parking!!?!
@GTBruiser:
That's so sad....
I submit that this is far more awesome, but my tip either wasn't liked or didn't go through :<
+ Watch video
That's one way to stop the Smart's epic understeer.
@GTBruiser: Injustice is when good men stand idle while a Smart goes without Gixxer power.
The way it could've been if Smart had been smart about where to source their powerplant.
