Asus, the masterminds behind the Lamborghini laptop branding, has bumped up the specs on its racy VX3 model. The laptop is a 12.1-inch beauty that weighs in at 3.6 pounds. The $3,300 price tag includes a sapphire-crystal webcam lens, leather palm rest, titanium alloy hinge, 320 GB hard drive, Intel T9300 Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of ram, HSDPA wireless and a high-end graphics chip. Let's not forget about the most important feature: a realistic Lamborghini logo right on the top of the laptop which allows owners to show off their money to all the other laptop-using chumps at the freshly destroyed coffee shop. A Zonda laptop is faster!
Just don't try to run the flowerpots application.

These things will inevitably be owned by two groups of people: Lamborghini wannabees who will without exception drive beat-up old Saturns, and computing performance enthusiasts who would buy such a piece of high-end technology even if Teletubbies were emblazoned across the lid.
Real Lamborghini drivers all own Thinkpads or Toughbooks.
So, what passes for a notebook "high-end graphics chip" these days?
Oh, a 9300? High-end, my ballsack.
Also, battery life on that thing's gotta blow, unless you get an inverter and keep it in your Saturn supercar.
They do sell Lambo stickers and metal logo plates you can just stick on one you already have. Pretty isn't any reason to pay that much more than other offerings.
Recently, I visited Asus's Web site to check out the Eee PC. Boy, did that site frustrate me. Anyone ever try to use it for support? It looked like it would be difficult to do so.
@Hyman Decent: [www.eeeuser.com] is better.
@Hyman Decent: Their website has sucked for years, good luck trying to download some 50 meg audio driver monstrosity after 4pm eastern.
Thanks, amblito. (You, too, TurboBrick.) I know someone who just bought an Eee PC and I'll let her know about that site.
