The upcoming Lotus 2+2 known as the "Eagle" was spotted again, this time at the Nürburgring. Unfortunately, it still is wearing the full camo inspired by Batman's mask. The report from Bridge To Gantry is that the Lotus isn't even doing hot laps, instead just cruising around at a casual pace. that's disappointing because the Eagle is supposed to be powered by a juicy 3.5-liter V6. It seems like Lotus is trying to take down the Porsche 911, but we'll have to wait and see just how fast it is, and what it looks like in unmasked Bruce Wayne form.

The Eagle has Angled.
Wicker weave and black cardboard is certainly a way to add lightness
The paint job causes me to imagine it with a light bar on top and big badge decals on the doors.
Isn't the name "Eagle" about '80's-ish. I get mental images of the movie "Iron Eagle," with F-16s whirring about, OD Green flight suits, and cheesy hard rock playing over fight montages.
It's a Lotus so it will corner like its on rails.
The camo and low profile wheels help hide the fact that it's built on a Land Rover platform.
with all the masking gear on it looks a F117 stealth fighter turd...
just sayin' now.
I heard it's cruising around at a casual pace 'cause the Ghost of Chapman's still looking for that last bolt he misplaced...
He's got a long way to go to find The Joker - at least Heath Ledger.
By whose 3.5 V6 is it powered?
@Hot_Carl: Hiiiigh-waaaaaaaay tooooooo theeeeee,
DANEJA ZOOOOONE!!!!
@TechnoDestructo: It supposedly a Toyota motor.
@Hot_Carl: Here's what I think of:

The front clearly has a venomous snake/pit viper look which might be really interesting. Unless it's cardboard.
But can it beat Ironman? (i.e. R8)
I wonder if it's based on a monocoque like the Elise and it's fraternal twins, the Exige and Europa? I've heard that the whole chassis will snap - an irreparable repair - in a relatively minor crash.
here's a few facts;
it won't be called eagle, that's the codename.
the chassis is the new vva.
the elise chassis is actually immensely strong.
