Remember the silver mystery roadster spotted at the Nürburgring? Well, the Nürburgring-obsessed guys at BridgeToGantry captured some upclose and personal footage of the slick little monoposto. While it's now clear that this is indeed a Veritas of some sort, we're still not sure exactly what the specs are or why it randomly appeared at the 'ring. Make the jump to check out the video.

Awesome Creature From the Black Lagoon face. Exhaust note not so impressive.
Is this one day suppose to be a road car? Race car -> road car = fail by these guys. Where are you suppose to store the buxom blonde?
It almost looks like it's got a little bit of Corvette in it.
But I've never understood why single-driver cars sometimes have the cockpit offset as if it had a passenger. I mean, I can understand in the case of that Solstice roadster thing, 'cause that was built on an existing platform, but this? Wouldn't it be better looking and better driving with a centered driving position?
@Unevolved: Whoop!: If it's front engine there'd be a bigass driveline tunnel to deal with.
@Unevolved: Whoop!:
can't very well sit on the transmission tunnel.
@tenbeers:
you beat me to it.
Plus the exhaust.
"Anyone want some rocky mountain oysters?"
@Unevolved: Whoop!: Also, this is rare, but in the case of the DP Cars DP1, the engine is alongside the driver, for better weight distribution!
Modernized Auto Union?
I love the single seat look w/ the drive seat offset to the side. Who needs a passenger seat when its all about you.
@no face
You need a passenger seat if your car doesn't have a cup holder
@Unevolved: Whoop!: In the LeMans series, the prototype cars must be built to accommodate two people, even though only one person drives. That's why the offset driver seat is like that. Either that or the engine is over there or there is a transmission tunnel or something of that nature.
@Number_Six: Nailed it. I knew I had seen that face before.
I still say it looks like Peter Griffin's penis car:
