This is one of those videos which leaves you just shaking your head. Operating an automobile is apparently a monumental task for this E-Class driver and the result is both amusing and confounding. And sad. Since she just drives away after her and her band of friends assess the damage. We're assuming she went directly to the toll office to pay for the damage. Yeah, that's what she did. Sometimes I talk about how automatics are more hazardous than manuals. This is one of those times.
Oh yes it's ladies night
And the feeling's right
Oh yes it's ladies night
Oh what a night...
Somehow I feel like if we're watching this video, they didn't get away with it.
For some reason, the theme music from "The Little Rascals" plays in my head while watching that.

Ta da!
@AshWipe: You're probably right. Anyone who specifically avoids manual transmissions because it's too much work shouldn't be allowed to drive.
@drewdrawsYOU!: She probably raised a holy stink about how Mercedes Benz and the parking facility are really to blame for not operating the car for her.
At my old job, we shared the building with a company that hired security guards. They had people coming in for interviews all the time, and posted all over the elevator/lobby were signs saying that if you parked in the garage, you needed a token to get out. Still, at least once a month, somebody would see the closed gate, and not having a token, just crash through it. Of course it was caught on camera.
I wonder if the next car just went through as there was no longer a barrier blocking their path?
@AshWipe:thats what P is for in automatics.
God help me if the Frankfurt am Main parking garage has video evidence of me bashing in the drivers door of my '92 chevy longbed on a concrete pillar, and then having the swinging guard arm come down on my hood while trying to extricate my vehicle. Good times.
OK, now listen... this baby's got a big engine... a lot of power... big V8.
Now I don't want you to be afraid of it... I want you to feel that pickup... so go right ahead and punch it!
Thank god they weren't hurt, oh the inhumanity.
You know they probably spilled their double choco latte with sprinkles...
@skyln95: I thought P was only found in public transportation and some mobile housing...
@skyln95: I wish it were so, but I've never seen anyone put the car in P when exiting a deck or passing through a tollbooth (except for when they have to open the door and get out to reach).
It would be really simple, since many new cars have "hill hold" capabilities. I don't think autos should start rolling simply because you take your foot off the brake.
Seems sort of like having a safety on a gun....but when you take the safety off, the gun fires :D
She's lucky there wasn't a person standing there. I'm suprised she even got out to check for damage.
haha she never did end up putting the ticket in the machine
Asses the damage? I think you mean assess the damage, but it could go either way because they're a bunch of asses.
What, me worry?
It's actually kind of difficult to tell what happened from this video. The video is clearly moving quicker than the speed at which the incident happened. I wonder if she slipped off the break and mashed the Gas? Or...did the car simply creep into the post after she takes her foot off the break? Either way, it's her fault.
On a side note, that Mercedes might be the worst one EVER made. Those E-classes had constant problems and spent a great deal of time in the shop getting fixed.
@Sloop_John_B: *brake
the car should've been damaged. it would've done more justice.
@Sloop_John_B: Yeah, my in-laws had a W210 E320 for 7 or 8 years. I've never seen so many electrical gremlins in one car before (and I've owned two VWs!). Plus, the engine gaskets were made of swiss cheese. 3-5 qts between oil changes, most of it on the belly pan and garage floor.
@Sloop_John_B: Yeah, but it didn't look any worse for the wear.
Ahh yes, "unitended acceleration". Reminds me of an Audi 5000 I used to drive.
Good, I'm the first. "It will buff out"
For all the progress for woman's driving ability that Danica has made, this woman has just undone and then some. Kinda makes sense this is a higher end vehicle too as I have found the drivers of these types of vehicles are some of the worst drivers out there.
@Froggmann: For every Danica there is a Milka Duno !
Mercedes didn't have a scratch! And there was no longer a fee to pay. Way for the little people to fight the Man !
"Since she just drives away after her and her band of friends asses the damage."
I didn's watch the video, but how was she travelling with just her friend's asses? Also, what did her Friend's Asses do to the damage? Besides that, what instruments do a band of asses play, beyond woodwind family that is.
We're missing an apostrophe and a verb, or just a letter "s"
Sadly, the woman seen in the video raced close to the pace in the parking lot from the outset, battling between rivals while a couple of lengths back down the backlot, before offering her rally turning for home and the parking pay pylon. It was a winning-type move that left her clear of the remaining challengers at the entryway; she just couldn't go with a smooth pull up, pay and go. This driver will always be remembered for her effort, but was sadly euthanized just out of camera view.
I sometimes wonder how stereotypes persist?
I'm betting that was her parent's car. Thus all she really cared about was "is my Mom totally going to kill me?"
The difference between this lady and my Mom is that nobody was filming when Mom crashed into her house's garage more than once. Also, my Mom was driving either a Subaru Justy (Fun!) or a Subaru XT6 depending on the event.
Just turn the wheel a little more... Almost there... here we go....
Heh.
She was reaching to put the ticket into the machine, put her foot down to brace herself against the floor of the car, and...
floored the gas.
Nice work.
the pillar should have been made out of concrete with steel barbs for more "grip and hold" power.
@AshWipe: E-Classes do come with manuals too...
A Progressive Haiku by Red AuerБЯд╒╒
Stereotype her?
You say "Dumb woman driver"
I say "Dumb person"
@DannyBN: I was picturing Yakety Sax.
+ Watch video
You say fail at toll booth, I say WIN! She never had to pay!
I wanna know why the air bag didn't fire off in her face? Ehhh...repacking + Noxema fees? Who can afford to drive such fanciness?
Sort of like my (recently evicted) former house mate from Bangladesh who managed to scrape the front end of his car and leave tire marks half way down the side of the house while trying to park in the driveway. Why was he evicted? Because he didn't think he should have to pay for the damage to the house.
Another old video! What you gonna show next the dude from Chocolate Rain!
It's amazing how after she takes down the tool gate, she just stays there for like 10 seconds. Perhaps she realized how idiotic she was...
@B: I would pay good money for a compliation of these events.
@MR42HH: "E-Classes do come with manuals too..."
Not true, at least in the US.*
Hence MB being incapable of winning my love, and instead being the favorite of people who can't seem to do the whole "PRESS BUTTON FOR TICKET" thing.
*Unless you're talking about owners manuals. In which case I'm wrong, but the typical MB driver probably couldn't use those properly either.
Can't you tell by the speed of their movements that they are toasted on caffeine?
great, this dumb broad is screwing it up for the rest of us. (along with the girl who was stopped in front of me in a 50 mph zone so she could curl her eyelashes.)
from the video, it appears that this idiot's car has less damage from hitting a toll both than mine currently does from detroit potholes. yay.
@MWH1: Nah, she probably just married rich. I work near a higher-class part of town, so I frequently see women drive up in Hummers, MBs, Escalades, etc. Then they come into the store and I wonder how they're able to function. If they can't figure out that "Bee Movie" is in the "B" section, I doubt that they're making six-figures on their own.
Is that a Mercedes, or an Audi 5000?
@jaydee818: not likely. a woman humbling herself in the 21st Century? You'd have a better chance of being eaten by a piece of broccoli!
I had heard years ago that a woman was exiting like this and she dropped her card on the ground. She opened the door to reach down, lifting her foot off the brake pedal. The car shot forward, cutting off her arm. She died.
