When you spend all your spare time for months beating a sub-$500 car into a 24 Hours of LeMons racer, you develop a powerful thirst. Team Porcubimmer decided early on in their build that their thirst would be quenched exclusively by those red cans from Mexico, and then they decided that the smell of stale beer in the garage was so good that they'd save all the empties. So now the question: how many cans did they guzzle? You can submit your guess at their site, and the winner will get a team "Pricks Outside" T-shirt. [Porcubimmer.com]

123 cans
I hope nobody put a damper on your beer drinking...
/here all week
//try the veal
Submit your guess on the link, guys.
96 cans
@clinto: @HIDGolf: You guys are WAY too low. My garage smells like a dead homeless person, thanks to all the empties.
I'm proud to say I guessed 211 cans without even knowing how many guys are on the team.
300
504.
Happily, my laundry room doesn't smell like death-by-alcohol-poisoning, because I rinse my empties (and I don't have a garage-- and the neighbors and landlord would probably be pissed if I stored my empties outside).

"whole numbers only" .... ?
@HIDGolf: Asshole.
124.
@ecniv: Oh.
I'll say 186.
1966. Bam. Honestly tell me that's too low, and I'll worship you guys until the end of time.
And FYI, we don't know the answer yet. We still have a couple more days of wrenching left, and the total increased quite a bit last night!
And again guys, your guess here doesn't count. Go to the website and link!!
WTF, if the answer is anything less than "All of them" they need to get back to work.
69 duuuuuuude
I guessed 216 and got a snarky retort from the form reader...
um 325, clearly.
I figure 20 weekends X 5 people (on average) X 8 cans = 853 - but I could be low by at least half.
I guessed 188, probably way low
@jpech: amen.
@ecniv: hmmm... (runs outside to find a dead homeless man on woodward...)

How many cans did Team Porcubimmer *swill/guzzle*?
*Zero* 'cause they are a buncha "I *sip* beer" wussies! :-)

No one is pointing out the fact that Tecate is awful.
There was no Pacifico available?
200
120 yesterday
48 cans
Since when is Tecate considered Beer?
@Red AuerБЯд╒╒: actually out of the can with a little salt and lime...they are not bad at all
But I second the Pacifico
@vr6juan: If you have to add lime to a beer, then it should be classified as something else...
¡Pacifico es el rey mexicano de cervezas!
I'm guessing 420 is a good number
@Red AuerБЯд╒╒: It's ef'ing cheap! Nothing wrong with a little construction water!
Can I use the "Wheel of Fortune" strategy and guess 1? No? 116, then.
@LTDScott, Porcubimmer pilot: n + 1?
@TX Law: I think you mean The Price is Right...
@LTDScott, Porcubimmer pilot: Nothing wrong with a little construction water!
I have never heard that phrase and I absolutely love it...
I understand where you would cheap out on the car, in regards to it being a LeMons racer... but beer goes in your body, and therefore you can afford to "splurge" and pay more than $0.50/can.
At least you drank lots of something... that is really the most important aspect here. Kudos...
@LTDScott, Porcubimmer pilot: Yeah, man. I drink good beer, but hell if I'm drinking a half-dozen Stone IPAs while wrenching on a car. That's when you end up with your calipers on upside-down, axle shafts on the wrong sides, and loads of positive camber.
Remember guys, while wrenching, weak beer = safe beer.
928 cans.
Yeah, we went quality over quantity here. As much as I love Stone (or even better, Lost Abbey) brew, it's a bit too potent and pricey to be wrenching beer. And it doesn't come in 30-packs.
Plus Murilee's team is sponsored by Stone, so I think it'd be a conflict of interest or something.
@LTDScott, Porcubimmer pilot: err... quantity over quality. Apparently I've had one too many Tee-Cats!
@LTDScott, Porcubimmer pilot: The Arrogant Bastard mobile?
I guess being sponsored by Stone is better than being sponsored by Rouge's Dead Guy Ale...
All of them
@vr6juan: My guess was WAY higher than yours, and I got a snarky comment, too.
Hopefully they don't include beer in the LeMons budget, or I would guess all teams would be wayyy over.
since BMW drivers are generally tequila-snortin' fratboys, latte quaffin' douchebags, cosmopolitan orderin' pansies, or Surly Darkness sippin' beer snobs, I am skeptical of the whole damn thing.
/tecate kicks ass
42 cans *Please hitchhikers guide, don't fail me now!*
Is there a 24 hours of lemons anywhere in the midwest? And is it hard to get a place in it?
