We understand the Ford Ka is a roomy vehicle. Hell, it's even big enough for James Bond and many Bond girls, but the means this Spanish commercial goes to in order to express that notion is going to cause us to have some serious trouble sleeping tonight. The first one to identify what the hell those creatures are gets a cookie. [Neatorama]

pffft, whatever, it's not like they're eating americans
Clearly its a Mexican Ka
I still think the latest batch of stick figure pop-tarts commercials are more subtly disturbing.
@MazdaEric: They gave up on catching Suburbans. there was only one bite in each one.
@P161911: The Suburban has become the vehicle of choice for the skinny blonde female hasn't it?
DUH!!
Gossamer's relatives.
or maybe they ar feral Teletubbies??
what is up with the Bangels song walk like an Egyptian at the end of the video.
Ewoks crossbred with Wookies.
Ka-nivores?
Cousin Itt's in-laws.

@icntdrv: What makes it Mexican? There are plenty of countries that speak Spanish...Spain is one...
me.
@shoman95: lol
Oh The Mas Humanos!
I don't like products that confront me with my mortality.
I'm looking at YOU, Red Bull!
I'm gona stick woth the blond in the burb, I don't want to be eaten... besides shes by herself and there is all this room back there...
They appear to be escapees from Pan's Labyrinth
Was that a snippet of "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the Bangles at the end?
@vr6john: the mas manos it contained... you know... 8 people in a standard pickup styles...
This ad reminds me of the Japanese horror movie Battle of the Gargantuans. The huge monsters would pluck up a human, pop it into his mouth, chew a bit, then spit out a bloody bundle of their clothes. I watched this as a kid of around ten on TV, and had nightmares afterward, including one of watching Japanese rubber-monster movies, being terrified, yet unable to turn off the TV or change channels... This ad is rather horrific...
Now I'm going to go put my therapist on speed-dial...
@Starlton Heston: what? manos are hands
@vr6john:
Feh, I´ve given up on trying to explain the differences in Spanish speaking countries. Apparently, if you speak Spanish, you´re either Mexican or Cuban or foreign(at least that´s the case in Florida). It would be like thinking Americans are like Australians or South Africans.
Not quite as disturbing as the SportKa ad with the cat and the sunroof.
@jarque: sorry mean humanos.. hahaha whatever its kind of a bad taste joke... but not my own
So this is the new dreaded god, Ka-thulu?
@M0L0TOV: yeah tell me about it...My nephew who is from Guatemala likes to call some Americans Canadians...especially ones who call him Mexican. Like most uneducated Fox News watching 'mericans...
Should we write Ka-ptions for the photo? I Ka-n't Th!nk of what else to say. I think I need to find an Escort and Probe her. I told her she's safe from the Crazy Soldier. However, she thinks I just want to be her Defender. She left me for a Ranger in Tacoma, that guy was a real Honqui to boot. So after the emotional Rampage I took El Camino straight to the Paseo, where I really found a Diamante in the rough. Her Tata's were beautiful and she teased me about my Moco. Eventually we settled in Malibu and had our own little Scamps.
Makes you wonder about the Ka-Ka.
@vr6john:
Yeah, it's odd, I was born and raised here and I get asked my nationality. They get annoyed when my response is American from the United States of America (after all, we have the United States of Brazil and United States of Mexico).
Comment on Ford Succeeds In Giving Us Nightmares With New Ka Spot It's is not Mexican. We usually don't like brazilian redesigns, as this new Ka. I think Ford de Mexico will wait for the euro version, as they did with the Focus. The closing phrase in the commercial sounds Argentinian.
Yea, cultural ignorance is most common among those who habitually watch Fox news . . . that's nice and unfounded. Political leanings really aren't much of an indicator on this issue at all.
@79TA:
I dunno, my father is Puerto Rican and watches Fox News. He's not ignorant (he's a retired physician) but I still don't understand why he watches it.
That's fake.
@M0L0TOV:
. . . sarcasm in the beginning
directed at vr6John.
There's nothing really bad about Fox news except that liberals tend to freak out when any amount of liberal bias is removed.
Spain doesn't get that version of the Ka, it's the new South American one. Europe will get a different New Ka next year with Fiat 500 underpinnings.
@79TA: Was meant to be humor...but it failed I guess...I happen to be of mixed ethnic origin (European, Latin and Native American plus some unknowns), I have a pretty distinct look about me. When a person who I meet for the first time and they ask me what my nationality or what country I am from within the first 5 minutes (that American accent is a dead give away that I wasn't born in Denver...ha!), I become very suspicious about why they are asking. Most of the time that type of person is what I would call a conservative white male. This is my own personal experience...your mileage may vary...
@jarque:
Ahora con mas HUMANOS<--humans
Now with more humans!
I would love to see the marketing study on the effectiveness of this commercial.
This spot is for Argentina and Brazil, this Ford Ka is a redisigned version in Brazil. Uses the old platform, nothing to do with the European version.
