Chinese Smart clones are nothing new. We even know how awful the Smart cloning working conditions are. But we have to tip our hat to the designers at Shanghuan Auto, who have taken their Noble clone and added the image of a Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide motorcycle to the side of it. At first we thought maybe this was yet another Harley tie-in until we realized that they painted their own logo on the motorcycle. Double steal!

They have no shame. Sad really.
How are these Chinese car firms avoiding being sued?
Look at it could you even image getting into a crash with that thing talk about instant death .....
And I'm sorry that just looks bad who ever thought that was a good idea needs a good smack upside the head.
@layabout: in what court would one file suit? and since the Chinese government owns at least part of all of them, they can pick and choose if they will even consider hearing it.
@layabout:
Take it from someone that have been to China quite often. It's very hard to sue a Chinese company from the outside.
Remember, you can't sue them in US courts, it has to be in Chinese Courts. It's their backyard, their laws, their rules!
@layabout: A) what abgwin said, and B) they're not selling them outside of China yet, so who cares?
im surprised there aren't a bunch of badges going down the side that say "3 cylinder" "45 horse power" "MP3" "AM FM Tuner" and stuff like that you see on other Chinese knock offs.

@FreeMan: Actually, I think anybody cares who has a similar product that they would like to sell fairly in the explosively growing Chinese market.
When did Mikey Teuttle get a new car?
Why the hell paint a bike on side of a car? This won´t make you feel a biker. I´ll stay with my Blackbird. Chinese crap has a long way to go.
The rear of that thing is a Suzuki Jimny

The front headlights are from the Subaru R1
I want what they are smoking...
@BЯдΖǐL-ЯЄРΘЯΤЄЯ: The bike is to illustrate what level of crash protection you have inside the car.
Ok I have a dumb question, I just starting riding and Ive never seen a Harley with the exhaust on the driver side. Could they have reversed the image too? Those Chinese are so funny...
I think painting a moped on the side would have been more appropriate.
Copyright infringement?
Confucius say: Go to jail bad boy!
@htrodblder: The XR750 did, but this is obviously not an XR750 so it's really neither here nor there.
@Smells_Homeless: It's also not a real motorcycle so they could have painted it with shark fins and a scorpion's tail and machine guns, which also won't correspond to a real bike.
That would have been much cooler by the way.
Inscrutable.
That's a Harley? To the layman (and I would wager the average Chinese) it's just a random motorcycle.
I agree that the laziness in graphic design (and down right plagiarism) is shameless, but I think this is one case where it could have been any motorcycle. I seriously doubt that they wanted to create the impression that this was a harley tie-in.
Because we all know that ppl who would consider being seen in a smart (clone) are also big hog riders.
@harumph: Oh baby! My VTX really needs a scorpion tail. Make it about 10ft tall so it snaps forward and slaps the trunk of the car in front of me. Yeah, that's the ticket.
