We like when dealers try and take advantage of trends to make the special editions that the automakers were just too wimpy or cheap to attempt. In this case, we've got a Toyota dealer that's taking advantage of Tony Stewart and his racing a Camry in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series. How does it work? Take a black Toyota Camry, add gaudy orange touches, blacked-out NASCAR wheels, festoon with the #20 and charge an additional $7K. This makes sense to us as most NASCAR fans drive Toyotas, right? One thing you'll notice has not been added to this car is the name "Tony Stewart" as this would almost certainly draw a lawsuit. Anyone have an idea what stadium this is outside of?

My eyes...my eyes!!! Dear God that is hideous...but some red will love it.
But, BUT, i-i-it's not a Hybrid!
Tony, what about the children Tony?
That is Coors field
I call petco park
Finally, a car as fat/phat as Tony Stewart.
I just threw up in my mouth a little.
[cgi.ebay.com]
its on eBay with a buy it now of almost 36k!!!!!! I just threw up a little...
@Pope Dearthair the Awesometh: I think
I just threw up in your mouth a little too!
Wow! This is the first Camry that I've ever gotten excited Abo... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Oh and isn't that Pac Bell Stadium in SF?
@P®ide:
Wrong color on the steel and the concrete for Petco.
i threw up more than a little
Oh, Denver. Coors Field then.
They certainly had to have permi$$ion to use the NASCAR logo.
Maybe this really is one of those rare V8, RWD Toyota Camrys.
Somebody needs to do a burnout just to be sure.
@TampaRon: some red will love it
I never drew the connection between Commies and NASCAR, but I think you may have nailed it!
Have to make this quick, gotta change my shorts.
I wonder if the dealer has the permission of Gibbs racing or Nascar to use the logo's and number. I mean that thing is tacky even by Nascar standards.
@biminitwst: Exactly my thoughts, it must have a honkin V8 and RWD right? But wait, it isn't a 2 door, what the hell, I thought NASCAR was "stock" car racing.
@Malaise-era Ash: The Commies have been hiding at NASCAR races? I thought they never left California.
Saw this beauty not too long ago

@Malaise-era Ash: Mebe he means a Redneck? I stop watchin' NASCAR when it stopped bein' NASCAR. Of course it looks more like a Camry than the race car, duh!!
Saw this beauty not too long ago. Same idea but better done

Oh that is just wrong. I'm still not adjusted with the Japanese racing NASCAR. I better get to drinking before I think about it too much. And yes the car is ugly too.
@prndl: Or maybe he means Pete Rose...
@Lounatic: @biminitwst: The NASCAR logo is on the wheels, I don't think they had to get permission for that. You can find the wheels on Tirerack, and I would think since they are just using the number without specific mention of JGR, Home Depot, or Tony Stewart, I guess they can get away with it
@wookie1901: Note, I did not say this was tasteful or a good idea. It is probably just on this side of legal, though.
@biminitwst:Probably just bought NASCAR approved wheels. [www.victorywheels.com]
They're totally trying to appeal to the wrong crowd. I don't think many NASCAR-watching rednecks are in the market for a new Toyota Camry. Now, NASCAR special edition Chevy Monte Carlo, that'd sell like hot cakes!
Most Camry drivers don't give two shits about NASCAR, or Tony Stewart and his crass, arrogant demeanor. NASCAR, aside from being an advertising cesspool, is about as relevant of a sport as underwater ring toss. the Tony Stewart edition Camry looks about as gaudy as the ricer-boy limited edition Mugen Camry. Either way, you're going to flood the streets with fugly cars.
Here's what you can do with a Camry to make it cool: Make it RWD, turbo the V-6 and paddle shifters for the 6-speed manumatic. dark grey metallic paint with black leather. Anything else is just wasted effort.
Who's Tony Stewart? I just love Home Depot and want to have its babies.
I worked at Home Depot that time that he made the crude remarks about the "Alabama locals" at Talladega. We received no less than 5 phone calls specifically telling us that they would never shop there again because of that.
Whatever little bit of sportsmanship NASCAR has is completely overshadowed by the knuckle-dragging WWE histrionics.

Number one on my bottom 10? Thcleaning up your own puke off the keyboard.
J.C. Whitney catalog?
@Malaise-era Ash: You're better off.
This makes sense to us as most NASCAR fans drive Toyotas, right?
Here in Kentucky, a lot of them do!
Several Toyota models are assembled in Georgetown, Kentucky. If you want to support the local economy (and often your neighbor's paycheck) it's smarter to buy a Toyota than a Ford.
(Well, it's smarter to do that anyway. But you get my meanin'...)
Last I knew/cared, he drove a Pontiac.
Which, incidentally, was a much better-looking car.
what? not getting some poor sucker to shell out money to advertise home depot? they do it with the racing jackets. why not cars?
Almost as fugly as that dammned Jeff Gordon Malibu. I used to see one in the parking lot at my old job on a daily basis :(
Let's just all go back to throwin' up! Who is going to buy that?!!
Victory field, Indianapolis?
Ok I just projective vomited and the car gave me a case of explosive diarrhea. Next time I see a Toyota in a story like this I'm going to sit on a trash bag while reading it.
The greasiness of car dealers should never be shocking. This car is a prime example. It's to be expected. For some slack jawed yokel who loves tony stewart, this is his dream car and he or she will purchase it.
Whoo... Hooo... NASCAR! Dale Earnhart! Tony Stewart! Toyota!
What's the truck done up as?
Only two people ever love these kind of cars, the guy who sold it, and the guy who bought it...
I love the idea of paying extra to customize my car with Nascar-style steel wheels.
san francisco giants er,.. pac bell,.. err,.. monster,.. starbucks or what ever it is stadium...
In honor of Bonds and the team, it's "Giant Head Stadium."
I think that is the most UGLY Nascar wanna be I have ever seen! Even the Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo looks better than that, and I think it is UGLY! I have one of the Monte Carlos, and it is Beautiful & Elegant! What the hell did they do to that Camery? It looks nothing like the Monte Carlo (which I understand it's not a Monte ...Duhhh!) But....they made a Camery look cheap & junky! Honestly, you could probably go to Auto Zone/Advanced Auto and do one yourself and it would look better than that! I wouldn't put $1500 worth of decals on a camery anyway. So I guess you get what you pay for! (I hit a deer with my car, and it cost my insurance $1500 for just the decals & graphics alone!) On another note: Could you see us "Red Neck" Nascar lovers driving a Camery?.....NOT!!!! I seriously think they need to go back to CHEVY!!! I know my husband quit watching, because he went to a Toyota. I don't even keep up any more. If we have, just think about all the people who has done the same thing. Sorry, just had to put my 2 cents in. I was just shocked to see this! >:0( **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight? Get new twists on family favorites at AOL Food.
