You knew it was bound to happen. We've already seen the first examples of modifications on the 2009 Nissan GT-R. But now comes something even more — perverse. That's right friends, here come the body kits. Tuning shop Garage Defend has brought their twin goals of increased down force and debatably increased style to Nissan's new Godzilla. Their modifications include front end canards, a new spoiler at the back, an inch and a half drop, new seats and a new muffler system. We're expecting this will be among the tamest of modified GT-Rs until such time as they start hitting our nation's West Coast. Then, whoa nelly, you better grab the women and children and run for shelter from the tuning madness.

This is why I hate cars......
Not into the Fast & Furious look, looks better standard in my opinion.
That front bumper looks like ass.
@layabout: Ditto.
I like the stock design myself...this not so much. What is the deal with rear wings anyway? I see these on everything from civics to Tauruses (Tauri?). Where are you gonna drive on the street that the wing is even a factor?
one would hope the high entry fee would scare off any ricer attempts, but the european cars have their share of equally offending add on uglies as well
My eyes are bleeding!!!!!! Please turn down the rice on this, STAT!
This cheesy body kit angers Godzilla. Makes Godzilla want to whup Gigan's ass!
"look away... I'm hideous >sob<"
Next up... even bigger wings.
Dont mess with natural beauty,it would be like taking Jessica Simpson home & making her dress as a clown before you get on her.Its just wrong
Pffft ... no type R sticker ... lame
The only modified GTR that I've liked is this one:
But they modified it for a purpose, and not that drastically. As in they didn't add an ugly body kit.
Basically, they just painted it pink. Frickin' sponsors....
Is a car that's already tuned to turn awesome laps on the Nürburgring actually improved by lowering it 1.5"??
Yeah, I'd like to see some comparative lap times between this and stock. And also, besides the obvious body kit, is all they did to the car just the boost controller and an exhaust? Because come on, that's hardly tuning.
"WHY? WHY WAS I PROGRAMED TO FEEL PAIN!"
I don't know, my love.
[turns to Keiichi Tsuchiya]
Pass me my gun...I going to have to perform a Richard Pryor
I don't think the new GT-R is going to win any beauty pageants stock, but this is not doing it any favors.
I do like the Bride seats though, maybe.
@Janhatecarsofcarhaters: My car hates people, you are welcome to drive it anytime.
I like how the red lettering on red background of the "tuner shop" really pops. Actually, it doesn't, and I hate the overuse of the whole "pops" meme. I hate the overuse of the whole "meme" meme as well, but here, it all fits. When is the excess going to stop? Tuner cars, energy drinks, extreme this-and-that...
Look up "powerthirst" on youtube, funny stuff. I want them to sponsor me when I finally get my car caged, seated, belted, spec'd, and eventually rolled in stage rally.
Nothing like adding a bunch of extra wings and spoilers to a boat of a car to make it look even more ridiculous.
I WANNA SEE THEM 'RICE UP A BUG VERYSION
Has it ever seen a wind tunnel?
The stickers add +50bhp.
I'm sorry, I had to.
What a fright pig!
Tell me all that crap added actually does anything other than create drag and induce vomiting!!
It must have rice-tastic upgrades!!!
It's a GTR for god's sake.
This car is meant to be modded.
I want to see an even bigger wing, even bigger turbo, and a wide body kit, and lots of stickers. Gotta have more stickers.
BTW, What is Garage Defend defending the garage from? The Koreans? Mothra? A drunken Paris Hilton? Max Mosely?
I love engrish.
@LuciferV8: Defending from the "Damn Mongorians!" I think..
@layabout: Ditto..The body kit looks too much.
Fail.
I like the wheels and the seats.
The rest needs to get the hell off of that supercar.
What've they done??
This looks like it would after i tried to modify it (with guesswork and a catalog of parts from other cars), but failed horribly.
Mmm canards!
why?
