So Knight Rider the TV show is going to be airing this fall on Wednesday nights, hoping to draw attention away from those 16 variations of CSI that CBS is running. Sickened by the obvious endings and lack of Will Arnett, we're going to skip on the Knight Rider Live-Blog and leave it in the capable hands of AutoBlog's Alex Nunez. How they got the on-again-off-again bisexual bad girl from Degrassi: The Next Generation to write for them is anyone's guess, but we think it'll go over well with the surf lesbian FBI agent demo the show appeals to. Wait, so the premiere didn't suck hard enough to convince the powers that be to just let this shit die? We need to be subjected to even more craptasticness?
Val Kilmer celebrated the show being picked up by eating 3 pounds of chocolate flavored lard
@4_Chan!!!!!11!one: I've never shaken my head for such a sustained period of time as I did when cringing through the first two commercial breaks of the movie... then determined it's not fun to punish myself and be tearing holes in the couch, squeezing the couch arm and holding back screams of confusion and madness.
@Peabody S. Preston, Esq., Bruce, El Caminion: and then there's this person chosen to live-blog this... she musta had this is a fall back from her High School Musical 3 tryouts???
Starring in sub-par Canadian teen drama has earned him the cred needed to comment on sub-par NBC prime time.
Better hope the Jezii don't see this post.
@Peabody S. Preston, Esq., Bruce, El Caminion:
So it appears you really liked the pilot movie. You must be very excited about the weekly show.
An American remake of an American TV show from the 80's. This is the epitome of artistic integrity.
@Peabody S. Preston, Esq., Bruce, El Caminion: I'm just impressed that you were able to distinguish the 'movie' from the 'commercials'.
I sure as hell couldn't.
Hmmm...looks like Jalop has pulled an April 2nds day joke on us...I was gonna say, if Alex Nunez was gonna write for ANY automotive related blog, it wouldn't be for the stody Autoblog...alas...Alex Nunez is a dude.
@maxforrest32: We all know Alex well and we can say, with full honestly, he's manly enough for six bisexual surf FBI agents.
I still maintain a show about lesbian crime fighters would be a hell of a lot better than a new Knight Rider.
Well, I'm thoroughly confused now... is Alex Nunez male or female? S/He plays straight, bi, or lesbian on Degrassi ...?
I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a lit cigar than watch KnightRider.
@LandofMinos: BSG is pretty good...better than the original
Their only chance of success is to write in a cheesy, often repeated catch phrase and hope that frat boys turn the show into a prop for a drinking game.
"And thats the end of that chapter!"
@Triborough: That show would be called Tight Riders, and yeah, I'd watch that.
The show has just been taken to another level of lame.
Why? It's another piece of focus group created drivel put together by a bunch of talentless hacks who ultimately answer to a bunch of soulless ad-people.
I missed the movie but have not heard one good thing about it.
At least I will get to check it out once and probably join in with everyone else on hating it properly.
I hated the show when it was originally on and nothing in the first hour of the movie persuaded me that I was somehow wrong to continue my loathing.
(Incidentally, the lesbian/bi angle makes sense; it frees up the male lead to bed as many hot babes as possible without worrying about all that relationship crap.)
