This is it. The final round of the Gone In 60 Seconds Star Car Shootout tournament. Where's Eleanor? She didn't make the cut. The remaining contenders? In one corner, we have the gorgeous and yet completely motionless Lamborghini Miura. In the other corner, a powerful combination of Italian style and American muscle, the Intermeccanica Italia. Now it's your job to figure out which car is the coolest star of H.B. Halicki's Gone In 60 Seconds. Place your bets, and hit the polls.

I love it when an Italian wins.
Miura all the way.
This followed along with my bracket exactly.
I am teh win
Miura Miura on my walls
You make me tingly in my balls
True competition, why, there is none
This competition, tis finally done
The Miura just pulls at my hearstrings too hard for me to ignore it.
Pantera out, Miura in.
If this was Autoblog, and I was 12, then Muira.
But this is Jalopnik, I'm 26, so Intermeccanica.
I know I'm wrong, but the Muira is what my Mum would vote for.
Intermeccanica.
Seeing as Eleanor got bounced by a kit car, I'm voting for the 2nd rate Ferrari.
I'm truly surprised that Eleanor didn't make it to the finals.
And so the Miura gets the cakewalk to the finish.
Come on a non-rolling-show-boat cameo over somethin' with 'merican muscle?
Is this Jalopnik or 0-60?
I gotta go with the Miura. Whether you're 12, 24, 48, or 96, you just can't deny the outright appeal of the Lambo.
Not to say the Intermeccanica isn't appealing or deserving.
I would have picked the Pantera. Too bad last round it was laid to rest within the Cemetary Gates
@Rust-MyEnemy: I'm 26 and was going to agree with you until I saw a photo of a shiny purple Miura. I hope that doesn't mean I have the mind of a 12 year old!
I would much rather have this
then the Intermeccanica
but I would trade my wife and one of my dogs for the Miura
As an owner of an Intermeccanica Speedster I'm going with the home team!!
I would trade your wife and one of your dogs for the Miura, too.
@thatguy01: but then I am out both dogs...
Damnit!
I voted Miura. Then, in hindsight, I decided I should be more objective.
The Intermeccanica scores higher than the Miura on the "How Jalopnik..." scoresheet.
Without knowing how many ashtrays each vehicle has, the scores come out 275 to 240 in favor of the Italia. (100 points mixed origin, versus 25 for Italian made all the difference.)
Then there's the pesky 10 point deduction for the Lambo for having its engine transversely mounted.
The Lamborghini is still cooler, so I stand by my vote.
Wow!Without Eleanor, this is about as exciting as a final between DeVry and ITT Tech!
That was a tough one, but I went with the Inter cause it moves. As cools as (some) cars are just sitting there, movement tops stationariosity.
The Intermeccania (a roll-on-your-back-and-wave-your-hands-and-legs-in-the-air-beautiful car built in Italy from American and British parts by a guy named Frank) is Jalopnik.
So y'all can keep it with my compliments. I'm driving the Miura home.
I'll even give you back the extra "C" in Intermeccanica, in exchange for helping me push start the Miura.
Yeah, this sucks... guess I should have voted in the prior rounds. Thats what I get for leaving it up to other people....
I know the Miura will win, but the Italia is so delicioso
Shocked to see Eleanor fall but happy that the Lambo doesn't even have to show up to walk away with the title. Once the lotto works in my favor, I'll be able to afford the coolest car in Gone in Sixty Seconds...and it's repair bills.
Much like the final four, these were the number one seeded teams going in - There were no bad cars in the last bracket. Now I'll have to cry a little as I cast my vote against the original supercar and pick something I'd have to explain to every Tom, Dick, and Harry everytime I stopped for gas (or parts).
@Rust-MyEnemy: Your mom wouldn't know the difference between the half-breed and the lambo, and she'd probably like the convertible. Not further comment on your mom.
And the Jalop scale does not necessarily translate to "coolest car." An Asian/italian wagon with no cupholders and an engine swap is not that "cool," but it's pretty damn Jalop, which is no bad thing, just different.
The Miura is the coolest car. My bracket for the win.
@Ω βгåғғ™: What kinda of dog??? And are you Married to Amy Adams???......then we can talk!
@Bento: 2 dachshunds and no...
Don't hate on the dachshunds, one of them looks like Guinness and has a bit of a beard...
@Ω βгåғғ™: I love dachshunds, especially with a side of slaw and a cold, frosty one.
@Naters4: I just think the Intermeccanica makes the Muira look a bit....
Obvious.
Jus' sayin'
Gimme a M!
Gimme an I!
Gimme a U!
Gimme a R!
Gimme an A!
The question is: which car is coolest. It's a tough call- but I asked the cars, and the Intermeccanica was the only one that actually said cool (for cereal- check out the front plate).
Damn- I had the Bluesmobile going up against the '57 Chrysler limo in the final round..
@fussball: If you have to tell people you're cool, generally you're trying to be something you're not.
@Bento: Hilarious.
Italia better in context, the Miura could have been made of legos for all you know.
Wow, no Eleanor. Surprising. I thought she would go all the way. However, I am kinda glad she didn't, because it is unexpected.
To contradict what I just wrote, I voted Miura. Just because it is the obvious easy choice doesn't make it wrong.
OHHH YEEESSSS I was hoping for this kinda showdown
and I voted Miura even though the Intermeccanica is very dragontastic it doesnt quite have the pants tightening level of the Lambo....
Miura spelled backwards is: H O T
@BLS: A full-scale model of the Miura made of Legos is more Jalopnik than either real car.
Miura = sex on wheels
What a tough choice I have before me. On the one hand, the Miura. The Miura. On the other, this wicked sweet little roadster I'd never heard of previously. Do I favor the Miura's bull-horn doors, or the Italia's sexy headlights? FR vs MR, longways 5L V8 vs sideways 4L V12; you got my peanut butter and my chocolate all mixed up, I've no idea what to do.
Italia. Italian looks, 'merkin V-8.
The Miura is just so...common.
This is the exact opposite of the Alien vs. Predator tagline: "Whoever wins, we all lose".
Miura blurra all Stradas to the Final Fouras
The Miura doesn't have a "Mr. Cool" license plate.
Game Over.
I just sold my Manta Mirage. It was cool, but I have to agree with the results so far. I hope Miura wins.
INERMECCANICA
The Intermeccanica seems to have a sort of British sensibility mixed in with the Italian hotttness. From the back, it kind of reminds me of a Triumph. Add this to V8 American power and no roof, and we have a winner.
MIURAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
yeah!...
yes, um... the Miura.
