Even the Japanese have camino envy. Some even want one so much they convert their old Nissans into car-trucks. This guy took an S13 180SX and made it into a "Driftomino." Sure the ride height is too low to go drive through a field, and the bed is only big enough to carry a mini scooter, but it makes up for it with those powerslide kudos. Though we kinda wish those Japanese guys had grown matching mullets. But what's that? You think it's not macho enough? Well then check out the Skyline Camino below.
Maximum El Camino Day, 180sx, 240sx, clips, drift truck, drifters, nissan, nissan 180sx, nissan s13...

The tire companies love these guys.
It's a Nipponimo!
I will take eight of each.
The Japanesemen, that is.
Can't do this with FWD. RWD forever!
Love the smoke coming off the front tire with 47 secs to go in the first one, because it's rubbing the fender.
Mullet sightings in the second one, too bad they're on the women.
Can you say RB26DETTamino?
love the skyline!!!!!!!!
Skylineamino. Never thought I'd see the day. Thank you, Jalopnik. You add so much to my life.
"I roll 'em, I smoke 'em. Yokohama Tires."
Not wearing a helmet in either car, no seat belts in the Skylimino. But, he has his fire suit on! What a dope.
ah, back when drifting was cool - before the white kids discovered it. i remember buying this Option video and thinking it would be so cool if we had drifting in the states. then it happened and i wanted it to go back.
I love how the S13 has the extra gauges just sitting in the open glove box.
I wonder what's stopping them from doing an RB26DETT conversion to an early-mid-90's Nissan Hardbody pickup. You know, the ones they're always trying to get so low to the ground that the driver rides in the subway?
Even more hilarious (Ill try to post the pic from home later) I went to a Formula D event in Monroe, Wa. They had an S13 there w/ the Firebird/Camaro 'smokey and the bandit-style' front end nose/lighting package on it. Made me laugh, alot.
Both those videos are SO old; I downloaded them off the first release of Kazaa years ago, something like 2000-2002. Good to see 'em again.
Too bad drifting came to the US. We've butchered it.
@Bubs: well I have to agree that even in Initial D's heyday it was pretty cool then we got
the Hogan kid screwin it up
@bryfry: He's no dope. It probably isn't a real fire suit, just a pair of fancy coveralls with lots of embroidery and patches.
I really like the S13amino.
There's a drifting 180SX converted into a ute with an R34 GT-R front end on it in Australia. Bright pink as well ahah.
This is actually referred to usually as the Sil-Camino since it's front end is the Nissan Silvia...
