Had your fill of Subarus yet with our Subaru Forester and WRX STi reviews? No? Good. Here's the lighter side of Subaru: a 2003 Outback modified to look like the famous Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. It may not quite be the 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor, but this Outback does deserve some props for effort.
The 2003 Outback is actually the Ectomobile rebuild. The original recreated Ectomobile was built from a 1998 Outback, but it was rear-ended by a semi-truck five days prior to Halloween, which is a big downer. The rooftop gear isn't quite as decked out as the original, but it's a Subaru, what do you expect? [OhGizmo!]

Subaru dorkyness hits new levels.
Do they have a Forester version that chases lesbian ghosts?
...or an STI to catch my beloved Colin McRae?
@ЯEVEЯEЙD POLAЯ: And when you get him you are going to keep him like this? [www.craigslist.org]

Well, you get the general idea that this post is Weak!
Wow, and I thought I didn't have a life!
There are alot of clones out there but only three originals. one from each movie and the one from Universal Studios in Florida. The one from Florida was there for 15 years and is now in TN. No not the one in Gatlinburg,TN. It is a clone from a few years back. To check out the third car go to [theecto1.com]
how do I get stuff posted? I emailed you guys this monstrosity and no one contacted me for more details or photos:

Not sure if it's a "Rolls-lincoln" or a "Lincoyce" but it's hideous.

iamjames:
Its a Zimmer, I think Murilee has posted those up a couple times.
They also don't post up every single submission they get.
I feel compelled to point out the AE86 parked next to it...
@iamjames: or awesome... no, it's hideous.
@JantheMan: that really is the best of craigslist.
@iamjames: Sometimes they sit on stuff for a while, sometimes it disappears into the mists of time. I've had 2 (3?) tips posted over the last couple of months, and a couple more that are still sitting in a file somewhere waiting for the right time to surface and/or deemed too uncool to post.
The Subaru's kinda cute, the Caddy's badass, but the other thing is pathetic. Jeezuz, I hate these.
Who you gonna call?
Lez-busters!
OK ENOUGH OF SUBARUS ALREADY! After the Sponsored by SUbaru all over your blog a couple of weeks ago, I'm gettin suspicious. So suspicious in fact that I am contemplating resigning. I didn't even read your 'tests' because I thought they would be all glowing. ENOUGH!
So when is the raft of BMW tests (all positive) and Ghostbuster 5 Series wagon coming?
Pretty sure I could shag Annie Potts (circa 1984) in the back of that Subaru. Well, once we take out the Lesbomatic Dog Divider Cage.
Sigourney is all leg. Annie is all sass.
@iamjames: OH GOOD GRIEF, MAN! this picture is surely in the category of "visual profanity"! lol i can't believe that someone would want or even dream of such a travesty.
by the way, i prefer the Ectorado over the Lesbaru, any day.
@iamjames:
That's a Zimmer; they're made up in New York. The original late 70's one, the Excalibur(Which actually predated the founding of Zimmer) was kind of cool. But since then, it's been a pretty quick downhill slide.
Art Zimmer: A man of ludicrously bad taste.
Two girls, one dish?
@iamjames: No ... that "thing" is tres cool! The perfect car to pull up for your 10-year high school reunion!
I bet Sean Hannity drives one.
Bitch, Bitch, Bitch...
@Buckster: Married THREE times?? :)
@iamjames: Missouri plates? No surprise there.
And yeah, the Zimmer has been covered several times here on Jalopnik. Thanks for your submission, though.
@3wheeler:
Actually, we toned down our inner fanboi, and Jalopy did too.
I posted this car on the ecto-1 forum a couple of weeks ago. It's in Fort Collins, CO & I see this guy around town all the time. All the information in this post was in my post on the ecto-1 forum.
@DonSchenck: Wait a second...is that what Ray drove to his reunion?
Thats why he isn't telling anyone about it.
Another reason to hate Subaru's....
I like this Subaru better than the Prius someone in New Jersey dressed up to look like an NCC-1701 shuttle craft. Sorry, I don't have photos. Only hearsay because I do not attend Trek conventions.
I'm pretty sure this guy also has a Wrangler done up Jurassic Park style.
Who ya gonna call? Paul Hogan!
@iamjames: My only advice is that you find something unusual, interesting, provocative, or all of the above to get your submissions posted. I have several. Just search for my screen name at the top of the main page.
@DonSchenck:
No, he's got a fleet of Escalades apparently. Close though.
I spoke up on behalf of the obviously lame and fake Fiero-Enzo yesterday, but one is SO lame and SO wussy and SO poorly executed that it makes even ME vomit.
Who ya gonna call? ...Wuss-Busters!
@MazdaEric:
This is all wrong. Nothing can ever replace the original Ecto 1. They should have at least used something with more cargo space like a Ford Freestyle/Taurus X. How the heck do you fit your proton packs and the rest of your equipment like traps in that thing???
@PeteJayhawk: Although Jalopnik has discussed Zimmer's before they're not blantant rip-offs of other cars.
