We wouldn't blame someone for wanting three 2009 Corvette ZR-1's, as the supercharged V8-powered promises to be the fastest Corvette ever. We guess we can't blame him for selling the other two because, you know, what are you going to do with three of them? But call us old fashioned, because we think charging $350,000 a piece is somewhat uncool. There's no final official price for the car, but a tax slip from the Big BJ Vette Auction let slip that it may only be $99,000. Will the market bear a price 3.5 times the sale price? Probably. The ad below the jump.

Sure, you bet. Kiss my ass, I'll save a little money and go buy a Z06 or really go out on a limb and buy one of the last ZR-1's for pennies on the dollars that the first bunch of fools went and wasted.
And the rich get richer...
all suckers call 3476727911
Who says dealers are the only hyenas out there?
Perhaps he can use all that money to buy some Grammar.
@13oostedwgn:
Money can't fix stupid unfortunately.
@13oostedwgn: I hear the government provides that now.
I've heard of 4-1-9 scams, but a Z-R-1 scam?
While I won't call this unconscionable, can't blame a guy for trying to make a buck, it certainly is insulting.
While the ZR1 is not a car for the common man at an expected $99k price-tag, this is yet another slap in what is already an inflationary economy.
Then again, it'll soon be that you'd have to be able to pay 350% markup on a ZR1 to afford the gas it's going to guzzle. The question is, will this Chester even drive the bastard? Or will he garage it and roll it out only for car shows?

If youth is wasted on the young, wealth is wasted on the wealthy. This kind of gougery reflects an unremorseful "I have something you want, and I'll take everything you've got" attitude defies the whole notion of a "fair market price".
If that's how he wants to play, fine. 1999 ZR1s is near enough as good as 2000, and I hope the smarmy bastard runs his flat into a barrier and dies burning.
Couldn't one pick up a 599 for 350K?
@i drive a dodge stratus!!!: Actually, everyone should call that number. Right now, and all day long. Personally, I think it's a scam. Probably one of those numbers that hook you up with a long distance phone call. Despite the danger, I think that douchebag deserves some interesting (yeah, that's the word) voicemails. Almost as badly as those douchebags at B/J do.
These cars shouldn't come with those Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. They should come with Hoosiers.
I'll take mine shaved, heat cycled, and mounted, just like my women ;)
i have NO probalo with this whatsoever.
if you're dumb AND impatient AND wealthy, it's only a matter of time before you lose all your money anyway. might as well blow it on a cool car.
No post about the difference between a Corvette and a porcupine?
Oh good lord. I wouldn't give you $35k for that ugly piece of crap. Wait... you want me to pay 3.5 times the asking price... and people are still going to think I'm either a dentist, or that creepy uncle who always shows up at family reunions with a gold necklace and a molestache, who spends his evenings sitting in bars looking for that one really drunk girl.
Awesome.
Screw that nonsense, if you really want one, wait two or three years, pick it up for the price of a Cobalt SS.
Typical of what happens when an American Manufacturer makes something that people want to buy, and has a temporarily low supply. In any price range here in Miami any car with a slight demand has ADP on the window sticker. Incidently, any 599 is way above sticker, but not 3 times over. For some reason all 599's seem to be "used" cars.
@dearthair: I would TOTALLY buy one for $35k. And not even think of selling it until it's as clapped out as a 5 year old EVO, STi, or DSM.
@elwood: It's easier to shit a Corvette than a porcupine?
@dearthair: Try not to worry so much about what other people think. You'll feel better.
@penaloza:
Sadly no, those are inflated to a cool $500k whenever they rarely appear on the used market. The wait list for a new one is two years and Ferrari has to like you.
thats a little high... but still 350 probably isnt that bad for the performance compared to other cars that price... thats why 100 is amazing
Another perfect example of a typical Corvette owner. At least he is just trying to screw his own kind...
This is hardly exclusive to Corvette owners . See above 599 comments. Stop trying to be snobbish at the expense of a legit fine effort and value from GM.
I did a quick Google search of that number and came up with this:
[changemystreet.com] and this: [www.forsalebyownercenter.com] (also includes another contact number). I would have to guess it's the same person as these ads or the guy and his wife are equally retarded: [www.ownerdirect.org], [orlando.craigslist.org]
Don't laugh at him. Laugh at the guy who may buy it.
Can I pay with cashier's check?
I am overseas buyer very interested in your car. Please give me best price and I will send you check for car. Check will be for a lot more than your best price on car, you send me back remaining excess dollars.
Look forward to business with you,
Prince Awalaja of Nigeria
