Audi R8 V12 TDI Le Mans Puts You In A Trance

We can't get enough of this Audi R8 V12 TDI Le Mans Concept. OK, so its not quite on the track or in showrooms just yet. And yes, it's an awfully brilliant "Brilliant Red" paint job on this oil-burning torque monster. However we imagine that when it does hit the streets with all that ground-pounding torque , the world might just spin backwards. Maybe that's why it's just sitting still for now. The globe needs time to brace itself for the impact. So much for diesels being Earth-friendly.

I was kinda okay with it whan it was just Audi and maybe Suzuki, but now that Nissan and damned near everybody else has jumped on the bandwagon, I've had about enough of "Gaping Maw Syndrom" in new car design. Seriously.

@beercheck: Aside from the gaping maw, what I love about this car's "face" is the complete lack of "cheeks". I'm going to sound like a total nerd, but it reminds me a lot of the faces they tend to give robots in CGI these days.

i didn't care for that grille on the Metroproject, don't like it here either. but i'm willing to overlook that because this thing is just so awesome.

and i'm all for it sounding like an R10... i've had a track of the R10 on a dyno on my iPod for a few years now. i should probably try playing that on the stereo (mono, really) in my car one day...
