Ask not how many alcantaras were killed to fashion the interior of Aston Martin's Vantage RS. Merely ask why it's one of the sexiest cars in Geneva. Naturally, it just is. But the Vantage RS is not only a looker. It's also Aston's answer to the Porsche GT3. That's by way of a 4.3-liter V8 upclocked from 380 HP to 420 HP by way of variable valve timing. The company says it'll do zero to 60 in 4.5 seconds and 0 to 100 mph in under 10. It's also been lightened to the tune of 330 pounds, which is where the alcantara comes in. Full circle.

I think the only negative here is the color, and that I can't afford one. Okay, so that is two negatives. At least it's not silver.
Okay, now you've got my attention. Pogo sticking Jebus, that's a nice car! Question though; why 4 shots of the interior from the exact same angle? Is the alcantara moving or something?
British Racing Green + BBS rims = WANT
That's a sweet car, but won't the Alcantara get all sticky when James Bond spills his martini during a high-speed chase? Should have stayed with leather...
Between this, the new Jag, and Lotus still being awesome, times are looking good for British sportscars.
wasn't this the vantage that was stuffed with the V12?
wasn't this the vantage that was stuffed with the V12, and released at the opening of the new design studio?
I saw a Vantage the other night... I love that car so much. This version is just icing.
Don't worry most alcantara is farmed these days so as not to endanger the wild population
I dig the carbon fiber center console too. Wood trim is ugly and brushed aluminum is played out.
That interior is horrendous. Imagine all the dust caught in the alcantara. And as the owner of microfiber-clad furniture, the streaks will drive you nuts.
Everything else: Hotter than 1,000 suns
I'll take it in any color. I saw three pedals and a stick shift. I swear, I did.
However, we'd meed to trade the wheels in on some wide BBS's wrapped in a 20-40 treadwear rating. And get some low profile truck nuts.
I think the butt is smiling at me...and I'm ok with that
I want to start a Tuning company called Disad. I'd then work out a deal to aftermarket tune Aston Martin Vantages and call them the DisadVantage
@Bento: LOL!
I always thought Cooper tuning could do something like a Aston DB Cooper. They take your deposit and you never see them again ;)
@graverobber: There was so much alcantara it took four shots to get it all into the camera.
I like where they are going with this except for the color scheme. It looks like a chick car not a GT3 beater. Note: Those are some BA brakes!
@Mike Spinelli:
That is a lot of alcantara. If you were wearing a pair of corduroy trousers, you'd never be able to get out of those seats.
I love that Aston is too classy to put a whore on stage with the car.
@4_Chan!!!!!11!one: The Aston left the money on the hotel dresser and said "it's best if you don't come" and she said "to the auto show?" and the Aston said "yeah, that either"
Needs more Alcantara!
Alcantara what?
Alcantaraphonebookinhalf!
I love the engine upgrade and the weight saving, but the interior is hideous! Alcantara should be used in moderation at all times. Wheels look a bit tacky as well. I do like the colour though, and if you absolutely insisted on buying me one, I'd accept. I suppose.
They should just make everything carbon fiber. Even the dash. You don't have to use resin! Carbon fiber cloth stretched over thin padding. Nice.
The alcantara is a bit much, really.
nice, but this is the power:weight ratio that the original Vantage should have had to be competitive with Porsche and the R8.
I can't help but think James May would've been more comfortable in this than the N24...
@4_Chan!!!!!11!one: this one's just for you:
you morons this is the V12 vantage!
@stiltsdance: It was INDEED the car that had been stuffed with the DBS V12. I feel cheated, somehow, that a car I can't afford the markup on, let alone the rest of it, should be given less engine than I was originally promised by people who know that no graduate of a State Univeristy will ever buy. Yeah . . . Miserable Limey bastards.
I like the carry over power ranger boot style shifter from the DBS. and as for the alcantara, I don't like the grey, but maybe another color would work better and hey, at least your inevitable bond like 6x rollover crash will be nice and soft inside.
I must have missed a period of time in my life...Has the aliens reached the Earth? Sky-born design!
