I'm no longer going to express any shock that my island city continues to provide a seemingly inexhaustible supply of street-parked vintage cars and trucks; we got to 150 Down On The Street posts late last year, we're up to 200 as of today, and I've got enough photos in the can to get us to 250, no sweat.
For those of you with questions about how it's possible for one small city to have so many old cars, please refer to the explanations here.
OK, let's look at cars and trucks! We've got a little of everything here- just click on any car's photo or name to see its complete photo gallery.

I hope you know how much we appreciate you, Murilee. You've always kept this feature fresh, varied and entertaining. Alameda STILL amazes me, though I imagine you've had to wander pretty far afield to keep the old cars flowing. Again, thanks.
You just know that Satellite's being driven by a guy named Buzzsaw.
Nice nissan-inspired fender treatment too.
Of the 200, the Volare is the only one I would be embarrassed to be seen in.
If I ever get around to starting my dream of running my own car theft ring, I know where I'm going to start. I already have the pictures of the targets!
Seeing them all stacked up like that puts me in automotive shock and awe. Except for the Chevette.
Thanks for continuing this wonderful feature, MM.
Unfrigginbelievable. Just an amazing history of cars on the Island That Time Forgot.
I'd like to hop in the 78 Eldo, pop off the t-tops and drive to Ole's right now. Speaking of Ole's: [www.yelp.com]
Thanks for all your hard work on this series, Murilee. I don't think it's a stretch to say DOTS is our favorite thing at Jalopnikland.
Great feature. As part of my morning routine I always look forward to reading the DOTS post.
(FYI: You forgot the AE86)
As I scrolled down the page quickly, I noticed that the car images got less and less interesting. Try it. It's fun.
THERE IS A HOON HEAVEN!! Thanks.
Thanks for all the great photos and commentary! I'll try to keep an open mind when the next '87 Corolla shows up. This place keeps tweaking my narrow field of vision, in a good way.
Thanks Murilee! We truly do appreciate all the effort you put into this series. To this day it still boggles my mind that so much sweet old metal still roams your streets.
I reiterate my position that nothing should be off-limits.
And that '65 Impala fastback touches me. What a shape.
So that is where the hippies abandoned all thier Transporters when the free clinics and free love didnt work out.
I love the "71 DoD NAS Alameda" sticker on the bumper of the 69 caddy.
As always, keep it up-- DOTS is one of the highlights of my morning.
@Edward: That's exactly what I like about it, too. You pause to look at things, in detail, that have always merely been part of the background noise. Like the gunshot in Blow Out.
@beercheck:
Seconded, everything is game!
"I've got enough photos in the can"
Gross, dude.
Epic.
Wow...what a great collection demonstrating the evolution (devolution?) of automotive design through the ages.
I particularly love how the late-60s cars are starting to take on proto-malaise shapes and proportions. Abandoning the crisper lines of the jet/rocket age for more swoopy, groovy curves. (which unfortunately gave way to massive bloat, as "curves" often do)
In so many ways, I'm glad I'm not old enough to see that happen.
