Because there aren't enough variants of the Porsche 911 already, TechArt provides us with even more options for the rear-engined sportscar. This new GTstreet Convertible is a variant of a variant of a variant. That means they've taken a 911 Turbo Convertible (which is already a variant of a variant of the 911), and then added all their TechArt flim-flam to it. The end result is a 630 HP, AWD, 214 MPH, open-air adrenaline rush. Photo gallery and press release below the jump.
TECHART GTstreet convertible - uncompromisingly sporty.Uncompromisingly sporty, unreservedly suitable for everyday use. TECHART is continuing this traditional philosophy with its GTstreet convertible. Since 2001, when the Porsche 911 Turbo model from the 996 series was used, vehicles bearing the TECHART GTstreet logo have been among the fastest and highest performing road-worthy sports vehicles in the world.
The new TECHART GTstreet is continuing this impressive trend, based on the current Porsche 911 Turbo generation. At the world premiere on 4th March 2008, this convertible model will stand alongside the GTstreet Coupé, which was officially launched in Geneva in spring 2007 and caused a real sensation.
Unmistakable characteristic appearance and breath-taking performance. The TECHART GTstreet convertible now develops 463 kW (630 hp) and can reach a maximum speed of 345 km/h.

And a four-step variant of a Volkswagen Beetle.
My wife has a Cayman S and I have a Boxster ("base model" she likes to remind me) so I lover me some Porsche, but that is not a good looking car nor is it a good looking color. Is flat gray the new flat black?
Remind me again, what's 345km/h in US?
I think this car would kill me in about 3 minutes.
@Novaload:
214.5 MPH according to my converter widget. At that speed you could stick your head above the windshield header and do an impression of Alvin the Chipmunk.
There are plenty of "purists" out there who'd say that chopping the top off any 911 is wrong. I don't agree with that. But a topless 630 hp 911 turbo? I think I'll take mine with a roof, thanks.
I'm not really a purist, but the 911 cabriolet is a vert that I really can't get behind. They just look off.
@por-shuh: techart makes the gtstreet coupe too

they're good, but can't scratch the hamann turbo
i can't put images in this system. what's the tag?
