Everybody likes to belong, especially when you're in a cruelly outcast class of superior cargo carrying capacity and awesomeness. This is why the American Station Wagon Owners of America exists and also why you should check it out. Founded in 1966 and sporting over 500 members strong, ASWOA is the leading wagon based organization in the nation. Members rides range from Chrysler Newport wagons to Chevy caprice wagons and everything in between. Go check em out and have a happy Maximum Wagon Day. [ASWOA.com]

Might want to fix that 2nd link to actually go to the www.ASWOA.com site
@Mad_Science: You know, that's a great suggestion.
@Ben Wojdyla: I'm full of those today.
I want a T&C hardtop with a pushbar on the front and a couple of "US Nationals Participant" decals on the windows.
I'd love to join, but I don't have a wagon...does tall SUVs count????
@Bento: No.
to quote the "great" Kanye West: "ME LIKEY!"
Oh man, that's awesome. Wish there were more members though. Then maybe someone could help me find a replacement window for my '73 Satellite Wagon. Some asshat decided to put a fire extinguisher through my passenger rear window. And what did they get for their trouble? A plastic, transmission hump, cup holder and some really old gum. Jackasses!
@TheTooth: What about this??

Oohh, that Olds Cutlass wagon leading off this post is making me all happy and such.
@Bento: Fake wood panels = win.
Oh, the family vacation stories each one of those wagons could tell. The old Ford wagons probably held camping gear in the wayback, while the T&C pulled up to some pretty swanky resorts. The Olds and Buick? Holiday Inns.
I wish Dad had kept the '71 Vista Cruiser ("Best damn car I ever owned!") At least he traded it in on another wagon ('77 Country Squire.)
I heart thr 58 Plymouth on the member photos. But there's not a bad one in the bunch.
Beautiful Galaxie wagon, but it needs factory hubcaps.
And the Olds needs to be a Vista Cruiser.
I love the way that Olds looks. There is something about muscle car era wagons....maybe it's because they are rare now compared to their two-door counterparts. I would particularly like a 66 LeMans wagon.
One of the ASWOA sellers posted this: [aswoa.com]
Is it just me, or is this deeply unnerving?
@Stoatmaster: Meh, their Wide-angle lense was in the shop.
I wonder if POLAЯ joined ASWOA (pronounced ass-whoa?), would
they give me an American wagon free, just for joining today!
@POLAЯ:
American!
Wagon!
Free!
Terribly evocative, dontcha know?
@Stoatmaster: And this day in age, oxymoronative even!?!?!?
