You got all of the details about the 2009 Hyundai Sonata and its extra-large cupholders yesterday, but there is one more little detail that makes this tech-fiend particularly excited. The 2009 Sonata will feature XM's new and improved touchscreen graphic user interface. Forget about the car, that graphical interface is a beaut!
It is full blown, high resolution, touchscreen goodness from XM that looks like it was finally designed by the consumers and for the consumers. It is easier to read, easier to operate and gives much more of an "entertainment" feel to XM radio. The merger can wait for all I care. This is too pretty to pass up. [Orbitcast]

At least it will look good the 735,837,982,775,289,352,895,427 time XM plays Coldplay.
um, isn't it also the first built in GPS Nav in a Hyundai?
I hope there's not really a 16 char limit per line of text.
veracruz and others have one for 2008. genesis has its own and this is the new one for 2009 and beyond.
@DustinTarditi: Next up: "Stairway to Heav".
Am I the only one who thinks touch screens in cars are a bad thing?
Any chance the tuner can decode HD Radio? Sure, it may not mean much to most, but at least the signal's free
Looks remarkably like my Alpine touchscreen interface for Sirius. Admittedly with a prettier, higher-res display, but all they've done is relocate the buttons to the touchscreen, from the look of it.
Extra large cuholders? Big gulps are so 1994. We need burrito holders. All the drive thru-s offer breakfast burritos, lunch burritos, 2 lb mexi-melts, 4th meal specials..... but where teh F do you sit your burrito when the cell phone rings, huh? answer me that!
Burrito holders, man, it's a necessity.
Well, it certainly looks better than my early generation XM radio ([www.xmradio.com]). But then again, I could give a rat's ass what the radio display looks like. I'm watching the road when I drive and so should everybody else.
