The boys over at Pickuptruck.com have posted up some spy shots of the long rumored VW pickup truck. Caught during cold weather testing in the frigid and dark Scandinavian northland, we're looking at either a badge engineered Toyota Hilux or a completely homegrown VW truck disguised to look like a Hilux. Either way, the truck is almost completely bare of camo except for a scant cover over the badge.

While it's no VW Rabbit Pickup replacement, we'd be interested to know if the toxic-but-edible plant named Taro is coming to America. It would definitely be welcome in the sparsely populated and red hot truck market. [PickupTruck.com]
