The Ford Edge, probably the best implementation of the gillette-Daveness, is saying hi to Brazil later this year. It's not a bad strategy for Ford as the company has seen an increase of 20.7% in sales there last year and in the American market the Edge has been one of fewer and fewer hits for the company. The Edge also fits well in the niche above the EcoSport, which is smaller than the Escape that the Edge competes with stateside. If the company can capitalize on their large contingent of EcoSport buyers when they look to move up Ford could have another Brazilian hit on their hands.
