Citroen Apologizes to Chinese for Messing with Chairman Mao

Citroen has apologized to China after running an ad depicting Mao Zedong that many Chinese deemed offensive. The print ad, which appeared in Spain, depicted an iconic image of Mao that had been digitally altered to make him squint at the text, "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's." Mao is revered by many Chinese, who objected to the manipulation of his image. [Via Reuters]
