Daimler head Dr. Dieter "Tobias Funke" Zetsche, or Dr. Z as he's more affectionately known to us, was once again serving up beers at this year's Firehouse aftershow party (we were nervous that, after Daimler dropping down to only a partial owner he'd not come back). Though he only served up a few pints, we were quick to get in line and have him serve up a tasty brew for us. As any cowboy knows, a long day on the trail works up a mighty thirst. The same goes for the press. This is doubly true when hundreds of longhorn cattle show up at the Detroit Auto Show. Enjoy the photos of Ze Zetsche grabbing us Ze Bass.

Shouldn't he be serving you ze Warsteiner or ze Lowenbrau?
I wonder if Dr Z is a "never nude"
The expression on the second guy in line with the pink tie is priceless...wait, where's his other hand?
@crazygutgut: What do you mean by that?
The Firehouse looks like a great place...to meet men.
Where are the women?
@JB_Jeep: I think he may be a mustache afficionado preparing to meet his idol...
Have you seen his hands? Dr. Z is the women.
Wo is das heifeweisen? Zeigen sie mich auf heifeweisen!
Look it all yous guys dressed up in your Easter best! Trying to impress the ladies, no?
ok Doc just make sure your children arent around underage drinking again..
@FLB: They referred to him as "tobias funke" who as we all know is a "never nude". which means he has the fear of being naked and will only strip down to some short, tight jean shorts

If I could have Dr. Z as my bartender, I think my life would be complete. Ideally, of course, everyone in the bar would be sporting some heavy-duty moustache action (male, female, we all need to keep our upper lips warm).
i was watching one of the DTM races on Speed today... they showed an Audi party, where there was free beer... one of the driver's fan apperciation days, which involved 100 liters of free beer... is the german currency the euro or the pint?
Nice.
It's really hard not to like this guy. Could you get a sound byte of him pronouncing "Jalopnik"?
That's the sort of picture that gets framed over the mantle next to the shot of you and George Bush Sr. fly fishing in Little Blackfoot River. Also, I had no idea Jim Halpert was a Jalopnik employee.
Cool dude.
Stefan from VW on the other hand, has a really nasty sense of humor.
@bzr: I'm going to take that as a compliment.
Herr doktor, ve need you at Chrysler, They are killing the Demon! Please convince them make it rear veel drive. Mein Gott!
