Each race car at the 24 Hours of LeMons must pass a rigorous inspection, in order to ensure that it complies with the letter- and spirit- of the official rules. No nerf bars... no $2500 engines... no wooden roll cages. Judging is a solemn affair, as you can see from the above photo of the Supreme LeMons Tribunal.

That's it. I consider myself a conneseiur (sp?) of sub-$500 vehicles, it runs in the family, so I'm convinced it's genetic, so I'm gonna really consider going to one of these.

I can see an early-80's Delta 88 bombing around the track, 8-track player busting out some George Clinton...

@Kelly: "Connoisseur" FWIW. I'm currently driving a 300,000 mile '86 Ford Ranger that my buddy gave me (free) when his wife said "get rid of it". That gives me the whole $550 for modifications. Maybe there's hope for a "LeMons East"?
