We're finally starting to see some spy photos that show off what the front clip of the new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V's going to look like. These shots indicate the car's moving from test mule to production tester as we see the front end starting to take a bit more shape since the last time we saw the new CTS-V a few months back still with the old-school grille attached to the front end. But what about the big supercharged engine we've been told to expect under this V's bonnet? We'd heard numbers indicating HP up around 515 to 525. Are we right? Who knows, but here's what the magazine all about the Trend in Motors has to say from their always sterling-like-Chinese-made-silver sources:

The front camo does a reasonable job of concealing the hood bulge that accommodates the Corvette ZR1's 600-some horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V-8's blower (for the CTS-V, the engine may be detuned to somewhere around 580 horsepower)"

580 horses? In the new CTS? We like. Yes, we like a lot. [via MotorTrend]
