Move Over, Highway Gothic, There's a New Font In TownS

Several of us here at El Jalopo have put in our time toiling away in various publication salt mines doing layout/design work, which means we know all about Font Hell. Font Hell is what you get when you're staring down the muzzle of a ball-busting deadline and your dithering boss is brainlocked trying to decide between Vladivostok Narrow and Diurnal Marsupial Bold for the goddamn photo caption, and then your computer throws a rod trying to digest the oddball font he likes. In spite of all this, we still think the tale of Clearview, the new road-sign font that was designed all scientific-like to replace the 50-year-old Highway Gothic font, is pretty dang interesting.
