Chrysler PR Main Man Jason Vines Confuses Two Generals

So we're thinking when Jason Vines said "General Motors," he really meant to say "General Electric" as he was telling local Detroit affiliate WDIV all about the bona fides of his new boss-man — former Home Depot CEO Bob Nardelli — as he golden parachutes into Chrysler. There's one of three reasons we can think of for how that particular slip of the tongue happened:

    A. The intern wrote the copy — and Jason was just reading/hearing the news for the first time.
    B. Wishful thinking.
    C. Vines changed GE to GM in the script, because it didn't seem to make sense the other way around.
Lucky for him none of his new bosses at Cerberus actually live in Metro Detroit and are able to watch WDIV News.
