    Buy A Loft, Get A Land Rover

    We knew the housing market here in metro Detroit was bad from all the automaker job cuts in the area, but we didn't know how bad until we were heading down Main Street Saturday afternoon. It was right at the corner across from the new Main Street Lofts where we spotted the following sign pointing to serious savings on buying a new loft in Royal Oak. That's right — the sign says

    "FREE Land Rover 2 Year Lease
    or
    FREE Mortgage Payments For 1 Year
    with purchase of loft"
    When people ask me why I'm renting right now rather than buying, my answer is now:
    "Screw A Land Rover, I'll buy when I can get the ENTIRE brand for free!"
