We've been informed via e-mail by the folks who are Good with wood in the UK that they've got their own uses for the term "Scumball." Therefore let us now name this little race the "Dumball 3000" — or at least until a point in which the unknown official holders of that particular trademark feel we've infringed upon it in some unknowing way. Full text of the e-mail we received early this AM after the jump. And remember, it's all Scotto's fault anyway.
I couldn't help but notice the thread on your news article regarding the recent fatal crash on the Gumball 3000 rally, I was even further shocked to see that in your heading of the news clip you have called it "Scumball 3000" which is actually my own company and in no way associated with this incident. Please may I ask that you remove the misphrased "Scumball3000" and correct this to the "Gumball3000" as this is the event it relates to.
Scumball 3000 is a charity drive across Europe raising money for UK charities and is no way associated with Gumball 3000, however the press which you are showing on your site is involving us when it is nothing to do with us and we won't hesitate in taking legal action if the text is not corrected on your news feed.
I look forward to hearing from you by return
