Eddie Zymblosky of Boots & Hanks Towing (this story is worth reading for the names alone) will be skimming home in an ex-cop hovercraft for the bargain price of $11,700, about 18 grand less than the city of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, paid for it five years ago. Wilkes-Barre fire officials had referred to the hovercraft as little more than a "recreational vehicle" and had used it only a few times. See, those government auctions aren't just clapped-out Department of Sewage Treatment Tauruses!
