    Spy Photos: BMW Z9, Hardtop?

    Its name may not be certain (Z6 or Z9?), but these new spy shots make it quite clear BMW's new upscale roadster will come with a retractable hardtop. The prospective Mercedes SL challenger is expected to debut in 2010 — though pricing is equally uncertain, considering we've heard rumors ranging from $90,000 to $150,000. There's little doubt BMW plans to install its V10 somewhere in the range, though whether a base model will get V8 power also remains to be seen. Ah, sweet conjecture, what would we do without you? – Mike Spinelli
