It's no secret UK motorsports firm Prodrive will be throwing its rally-tested monkeywrench into the Formula One machine in 2008. Now, company boss Dave Richards says the company's F1 car will roll out in December 2007. Whether or not the car will be the basis for a Prodrive-supported B-team sponsored by McLaren — which has been reported widely since mid-2006 — remains to be seen. Richards is mum on that deal, though says the team's looking for a partner to supply an engine and chassis. Now, as Germany's Express newspaper reports, McLaren's Ron Dennis could use some of the cash raised from selling McLaren shares to purchase a stake in Prodrive. Those guys are totally BFFs.
