Harder to be a Hoon In Australia These Days

First they came for the cars of tarmac hoons. Now they're taking on those who've taken their vehicular antics off-road. Out on the dusty claypans outside Alice Springs, Australia, authorities have stepped up patrols on the hardpack with an eye for illegal action. According to Senior Seargeant Bruce Porter of the Alice PD, "Because it is an unformed area and not subject to road rules, people do stupid things and don't actually use commonsense, so they actually run the risk of having an accident and causing injury." Bah to that. Save the hoons!
