
Apparently, when Fiat converted their Grande Punto to right-hand drive, they forgot a part. It's a metal plate that spreads load in the event of a frontal crash, and without it, the the driver's knees are more likely to sustain injury. According to Which?, the car's five-star Euro NCAP rating would drop a star without the plate. 21,000 of the superminis are affected by the recall, and Fiat figures the repair will take about 35 minutes of shop time per vehicle.
