Conceptual Bait and Switch? Renault's Koleos Concept

With so many close-to-production vehicles these days being feted at auto shows like Venutian love gods, there's an aroma of bait and switch in the air. Take Renault-Nissan's joint Koleos concept light-ute, which was introduced at the Paris show last week, ahead of a production launch for Europe next year. Is it really helpful for it, and proto-cars like it, to be such teases? The Koleos concept sports a vaguely familiar set of cute-ute lines and responsible curves, making it far too dull to be a concept; but at the same time it's too well tricked out to be anything but a show car. When the production model arrives, what do you bet we'll be too bored to get out of its way. [Gallery]
