Prancing Dutchman: Ferrari to Supply Engines to Spyker MF1 Team, Not Supercars

Spyker ended speculation on where the company would get engines for its F1 team this past weekend, when it announced it had inked what's essentially a one-year deal with Scuderia Ferrari. But Ferrari team boss Jean Todt wants you to know the deal is only for F1 engines, not street powerplants for Spyker's Dutch-built supercars, which are powered by Audi/VW hardware. The deal was struck by way of the two companies' common shareholder, Abu Dhabi's Mubadala Development Company, which owns 17 percent of Spyker and five percent of Ferrari. Ferrari also supplies engines for team Red Bull. For what that's worth.
