We've been cleaning out our memory card from SEMA and can't believe we forgot about this evil-looking custom concept found in the Ford booth at the huge aftermarket parts show. It's from the good folks at Galpin Auto Sports and it's called the Scythe. The purple concept car is one of the rare few we've seen where the name is actually fitting for the car being shown. Based loosely (VERY loosely) on a 2008 Mustang GT convertible, the team at GAS actually designed it to look like an overgrown Hot Wheels car. But it's not just the unique look of the car that's cool, it's also what it has inside. More »

We caught up with professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and had him walk us around his Ford Mustang to show us what makes his trick drift car tick. Not only did we get a close-up look at the machine, he even took us for a quick spin around some cones conveniently placed in the parking lot. This was our second time riding shotgun in a drift car — our first was in a JDM Nissan Skyline — and we've gotta admit, even though some may feel drifting isn't a real sport, it's unquestionably fun. We know the thought of heading out to a drag strip for the first time can be both daunting and intimidating. This past weekend we did just that when we were invited to the second annual Ford Racing Invitational to try our hand at the straight-line game of drag racing. Having always focused more on the curves and less on the straights, this was your author's first time in front of a Christmas tree. As such, we figured it might be the perfect time to show you the ins and outs of running a car down the quarter-mile. Hey, we came in third place, so we guess we can't be too shabby at it. More »
