<!-- videoId: XYzAe5OjG6s --><!-- /videoId: XYzAe5OjG6s --> If you came across an old Crosely dealership sign made from the outer four inches of either side of a 1949 Crosley convertible, welded together and shortened, what would you do with it? Most people would probably hang it in their garage, but Crosley collector Paul Gorrell had a slightly more interesting idea. Using a combination of craftsmanship and ingenuity, Gorrell turned this interesting Crosley dealership sign into a fully functional scooter. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5838987/crosley-dealership-sign-scooter-is-one-clever-creation" title="Click here to read more about Crosley dealership sign scooter is one clever creation">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

<a href="http://www.insideline.com/features/the-100-greatest-cars-of-all-time.html">Edmunds.com released a list of the 100 greatest cars of all time</a> this past week which gives the 1932 Ford top honors. Their list is an interesting read and is by their own admission "a biased list in favor of cars that enthusiasts love" with historically important models mixed in. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5832969/is-the-1932-ford-the-greatest-car-of-all-time" title="Click here to read more about Is the 1932 Ford the greatest car of all time?">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

Captured on a farm in Saskatchewan, this 1949 Chrysler shows some obvious signs of quite a few years spent out in the Canadian elements. Pictures of potential project cars like this one always manage to elicit automotive optimism from us, so it shouldn't come as a surprise we imagine this old Chrysler to be as complete and restorable as it looks from this angle. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5823699/canadian-chrysler" title="Click here to read more about Canadian Chrysler">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

Welcome to <a href="http://jalopnik.com/tag/choose-your-eternity/">Project Car Hell</a>, where you choose your eternity by selecting the project that's the coolest... and the most hellish! Yesterday, we saw a 6.9 Benz <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5092727/pch-book-of-revelations-edition-gray-market-v12-jag-or-cheap-69-benz">face defeat</a> for the first time in Project Car Hell history, a feat that generally requires unholy intervention by <a href="http://jalopnik.com/398435/if-it-runs-sell-it-more-british-car-jokes">the Prince Of Darkness</a> himself, or at least the presence of Citroën badges. We've had a run of affordable Hell Projects lately, and that's fine… but sometimes we need to mainline some optimism and look at spending a few more bucks at the gateway to Gearhead Gehenna.<br clear="all" /> <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5093977/pch-benefits-of-positive-thinking-edition-cooked-countach-or-rusty-rolls" title="Click here to read more about PCH, Benefits Of Positive Thinking Edition: Cooked Countach or Rusty Rolls?">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

This is <a href="http://jalopnik.com/tag/down-on-the-street-bonus-edition/">Down On The Street Bonus Edition</a>, where we check out interesting street-parked cars located in places other than the <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5026088/300-old-cars-down-on-the-alameda-street">Island That Rust Forgot</a>. You don't see many 1940s cars that live outside and haven't succumbed to the dreaded Rust Monster, but iron atoms have a tougher time getting together with oxygen in Arizona's dry climate. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/396320/super+rare-dodge-sweptside-bides-its-time-in-arizona-junkyard">57Sweptside</a> has spotted this pair of '49 Kaisers in Phoenix, and they look pretty solid. The Traveler is an especially interesting find, due to its <a href="http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1949-1953-kaiser-traveler-vagabond.htm">weird but functional hatch feature</a> that makes the car into an ahead-of-its-time crypto-utility vehicle. Jump away for all the photos and 57Sweptside's description.<br clear="all" /> <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5085240/ancient-arizona-kaisers-have-never-experienced-rust-believe-life-is-eternal" title="Click here to read more about Ancient Arizona Kaisers Have Never Experienced Rust, Believe Life Is Eternal">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

The readers of Britain's <em>Telegraph</em> decided that the Pontiac Aztek was the king of their <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5044087/the-telegraph-ranks-the-100-ugliest-cars-of-all-time">100 Ugliest Cars Of All Time list</a>, but James May disagrees. In fact, his pick for the Ugliest Car Ever wasn't even on the list! Meet the <a href="http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nicouls/maywebphotos.htm">1949 Triumph Mayflower</a>, about which Mr. May states: "Its details are ugly, its overall proportions are ugly, its very concept - as a car to appeal to Americans who believed they were directly descended from the Pilgrim Fathers - makes one shudder." <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=A1YourView&xml=/motoring/2008/09/05/mrmay105.xml">[Telegraph.co.uk]</a> <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5048591/james-may-disagrees-with-telegraph-readers-says-49-triumph-mayflower-is-ugliest-car-ever" title="Click here to read more about James May Disagrees With Telegraph Readers, Says '49 Triumph Mayflower Is Ugliest Car Ever">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

Welcome to <a href="http://jalopnik.com/tag/choose-your-eternity/">Project Car Hell</a>, where you choose your eternity by selecting the project that's the coolest... and the most hellish! In our last plunge into the Lake Of Fire, we saw the Alpine A310 stomp the Matra Murena like Napoleon pulverizing the Russians in the Battle of Austerlitz, with a decisive 70-30 split in the poll. Today we're going to go from PCH Édition Débâcle to something a little closer to home: Lowrider Project Hell! <a href="http://jalopnik.com/399088/project-car-hell-low-and-slow-edition-1964-impala-or-1949-mercury-trio" title="Click here to read more about Project Car Hell, Low And Slow Edition: 1964 Impala or 1949 Mercury Trio?">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

When you see "Denver" in the title, you might figure you're looking at more shots by prolific DOTSBE photographer <a href="http://kittbo.blogspot.com/">Kitt</a>. But hold on- now we've got <em>two </em>readers shooting interesting vehicles on the streets of <a href="http://www.salon.com/books/feature/2006/03/10/fante/index.html">John Fante's</a> hometown. We've got Kitt covering the south side of town and <a href="http://jalopnik.com/commenter/ejacobs/">ejacobs</a> working the northwest neighborhoods. He's already sent in several sets of photos, and we're going to start with this International Harvester KB-3 pickup, built during the 1947-1949 period. Looks like Denver is trying to <a href="http://jalopnik.com/346831/1948-international-harvester-kb+2-pickup-truck">match Alameda</a>, one vehicle at a time! <a href="http://jalopnik.com/375976/yet-more-vintage-machinery-from-denvers-streets" title="Click here to read more about Yet More Vintage Machinery From Denver's Streets">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

In the agonizing choice between <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/choose-your-eternity/pch-three-tines-of-the-pitchfork-edition-fiats-or-el-caminos-308036.php">Italian style and American truckcar goodness</a>, our readers tend to prefer an eternity spent with the three '59 El Caminos to one spent with three '73 Fiats, though the race was pretty close- more Dewey Versus Truman than Mondale Versus Reagan. Today, the choices are inspired by <a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/baseball,-belvederes,-and-beef/the-american-dream-bi+belvedere-%252Bserro-scotty-tailgate-party-260061.php">our friend Adrian</a>, who is currently <del>staring hopelessly at</del> gearing up to restore a <del>hopeless basket case of a</del> fairly complete '57 Plymouth ambulance. Hey, it would <em>rule</em> to have a vintage ambulance, right? Sure it would! Ahhh... thus functions the lure of the entrance to Hell! <a href="http://jalopnik.com/308532/project-car-hell-caddy-ambulance-edition-49-or-68" title="Click here to read more about Project Car Hell, Caddy Ambulance Edition: '49 or '68?">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>

<a href="http://jalopnik.com/cars/choose-your-eternity/project-car-hell-interceptor-or-nsu-wankel-299284.php">Yesterday's NSU-versus-Jensen matchup</a> produced a near-tie, with the Interceptor holding a razor-thin lead at the time of this writing. We've been focusing on British iron quite a bit lately, since most of us seem to love and fear such cars in roughly equal measure, but it's probably time for us to leave the UK for a while, right? No dice, Jack- you're in <em>Hell</em>, remember, where the Prince of Darkness reigns! Let's go back, back, back in time for today's contestants, and to add yet another layer of difficulty, we're going to go with a pair of cars offered by seriously grumpy sellers. Thanks to tipster (and Morgan owner) Benjamin for pulling our coat about these cars! <a href="http://jalopnik.com/299377/project-car-hell-angry-seller-edition-mg+tc-or-morgan" title="Click here to read more about Project Car Hell, Angry Seller Edition: MG-TC or Morgan?">More&nbsp;&raquo;</a>
