Over the Back Fence: Tundra Double Cab to Be Freaking Huge

Edmunds Straightline Blog is doin' some rumor mongerin' with regard to Toyota's 2007 Tundra pickup. According to someone who's gotten a look at the Tundra double cab (as opposed to the crew cab Toyota unveiled at the Chicago show earlier this year) the largest of Tundras will have 410 hp, 11,000-lb. towing capacity and will be larger than the Dodge Mega Cab. That's led the Edmundos to conclude, likely so, that the top Tundra will be in the 8,000+ gross weight range (the Mega Cab's is 10,500 lb.) No word on payload capacity, gross axle weight rating (GAWR), gross axle widget diameter (GAWD) or gag weaponry assessment rating (GWAR).
