Edmunds Straightline blog got hold of at least one shot (more to come later) of the next Nissan Armada — likely a 2008 model. Outwardly, the bruiser won't get more than a minor facelift, but on the inside we expect more significant upgrades. That's a good thing, considering, in the current model, Nissan has apparently split the difference between a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser and a 1978 Cadillac Sedan DeVille — it's comfortable as a Chaise Metro B, but spare in the controls and binnacle — a shared trait with the company's more utility-minded Titan pickup. The Armada's still the best-designed large SUV out there, though the General's the newly minimalist GMT-900s (which wouldn't kill a hardcore asthete unless they were sitting on his chest), are now in the running).
