The Automobile Club de l'Ouest is examining data from the 2006 24 Heures du Mans to see if Audi's diesel LMP car had an unfair advantage over other vehicles in the race. On average 3.2 seconds faster than other machines, the R10 will most likely be fitted with a smaller fuel tank to negate the mileage advantage over other vehicles. They haven't decided on other possible handicaps yet, but we're betting on intake restrictors as well. Audi, no doubt, is already figuring out workarounds.
