Escape and Evade: Cali Police Cars Must Look Official

The next time an unmarked car in the Golden State attempts to pull you over, run to the hills and hope you can outdrive the men in blue, because the California Supreme Court has ruled that to be charged with evading police requires more than sirens and lights: it requires some nebulously defined something-or-other. But it's something more than sirens and lights, we know that much. What if it's dark? Can you be charged then, considering that all of the flashing lights and whatnot ruin your night vision and your abillity to discern whether the vehicle is official or not? Run, drunk drivers, run!. Just make sure you crash into a state-owned inanimate object containing no occupants. [Thanks to Scott for the tip.]
