Breaking! New Car Registrations Up 9.6% In Europe

According to euro auto manufacturer association ACEA, new car registrations throughout the European Union (and in the other silly little non-Union countries), are up 9.6% from May of last year. Leading the way was Fiat with a rise in registrations of 56.9% (of course Fiat did have that strike last year round-abouts May) — and VW saw registrations jump 14.7%. Overall, Europe saw sales reaching 1,422,408 vehicles year-to-date — a gain of 2.4%. ACEA calls the numbers "encouraging" while we call them Fiat-inflated.
